atha vyavasthitān dṛiṣhṭvā dhārtarāṣhṭrān kapi-dhwajaḥ pravṛitte śhastra-sampāte dhanurudyamya pāṇḍavaḥ hṛiṣhīkeśhaṁ tadā vākyam idam āha mahī-pate

ಆಗ, ಧೃತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನ ಪಕ್ಷದವರು ವ್ಯೂಹ ರಚಿಸಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಪ್ರಯೋಗವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಕಪಿಧ್ವಜನಾದ ಪಾಂಡುಪುತ್ರ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ತನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಓ ಭೂಪತಿಯೇ, ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
