śhrī-bhagavān uvācha kāmyānāṁ karmaṇāṁ nyāsaṁ sannyāsaṁ kavayo viduḥ sarva-karma-phala-tyāgaṁ prāhus tyāgaṁ vichakṣhaṇāḥ

Meaning

ஸ்ரீ பகவான் கூறினார்: "ஆசையுடன் செய்யப்படும் செயல்களைத் துறப்பதையே சந்நியாசம் என்று முனிவர்கள் புரிந்துகொள்கிறார்கள்; எல்லாச் செயல்களின் பலன்களைத் துறப்பதையே த்யாகம் என்று ஞானிகள் அறிவிக்கிறார்கள்."
