mayā prasannena tavārjunedaṁ
rūpaṁ paraṁ darśhitam ātma-yogāt
tejo-mayaṁ viśhvam anantam ādyaṁ
yan me tvad anyena na dṛiṣhṭa-pūrvam

శ్రీ భగవానుడు పలికెను: ఓ అర్జునా, నా స్వీయ యోగశక్తి ద్వారా నేను ఈ విశ్వరూపమును నీకు అనుగ్రహముతో చూపితిని. ఇది తేజస్సుతో నిండినది, ఆది అయినది, మరియు అనంతమైనది; ఈ నా విశ్వరూపమును నీవు తప్ప మరి ఎవ్వరును ఇంతకు మునుపెన్నడూ చూడలేదు.

Commentary
Lord Krishna eulogises the Cosmic Form because Arjuna should be regarded to have achieved all his ends by seeing this Cosmic Form. It is also an inducement to all spiritual aspirants to strive to attain this sublime vision. What they should do is explained by the Lord in verse 53 to 55.
