devyuvāca daityeśvareṇa prahito balavānbalasaṃvṛtaḥ balānnayasi māmevaṃ tataḥ kiṃ te karomyaham
Meaning
(દેવી બોલ્યાં:) 'તું દૈત્યપતિ દ્વારા મોકલાયેલો છે, બળવાન છે, સૈન્યથી ઘેરાયેલો છે; જો તું આ પ્રમાણે મને બળજબરીથી લઈ જવા ઈચ્છે — તો હું તારું શું કરી શકું (અર્થાત્ જે થવાનું છે તેને હું કેવી રીતે રોકી શકું)?'
