īṣatsahāsamamalaṃ paripūrṇacandra- bimbānukāri kanakottamakāntikāntam atyadbhutaṃ prahṛtamāttaruṣā tathāpi vaktraṃ vilokya sahasā mahiṣāsureṇa

ମନ୍ଦ ମନ୍ଦ ହସିଯୁକ୍ତ, ନିର୍ମଳ, ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣଚନ୍ଦ୍ରବିମ୍ବ ସଦୃଶ, ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣର କାନ୍ତିରେ ମନୋହର ଥିଲା ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମୁଖ — ତଥାପି, କେତେ ବିଚିତ୍ର, ଯେ ସେହି ମହିଷାସୁର, ଯାହାର କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ତାହାକୁ ହଠାତ୍ ଦେଖି, ତାହା ଉପରେ ପ୍ରହାର କଲା!
