vṛiṣhṇīnāṁ vāsudevo ’smi pāṇḍavānāṁ dhanañjayaḥ munīnām apyahaṁ vyāsaḥ kavīnām uśhanā kaviḥ

ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੀ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਹਾਂ; ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਹਾਂ; ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਆਸ ਹਾਂ; ਕਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਵੀ ਉਸ਼ਨਾ (ਸ਼ੁਕਰਾਚਾਰਯ) ਹਾਂ।
