ਚਂਦ੍ਰ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ

A lunar eclipse (Chandra Grahan) occurs on Purnima (full moon) when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon. By tradition its Sutak begins 9 hours before the eclipse, and is observed only where the eclipse is visible. Penumbral lunar eclipses carry no Sutak.
