atha vyavasthitān dṛiṣhṭvā dhārtarāṣhṭrān kapi-dhwajaḥ pravṛitte śhastra-sampāte dhanurudyamya pāṇḍavaḥ hṛiṣhīkeśhaṁ tadā vākyam idam āha mahī-pate

ഹേ ഭൂപതേ, അനന്തരം ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രപക്ഷക്കാര് അണിനിരന്നു നില്ക്കുന്നതും ആയുധപ്രയോഗം ആരംഭിക്കാറായതും കണ്ടിട്ട്, വാനരധ്വജനായ പാണ്ഡുപുത്രന് അര്ജുനന് തന്റെ വില്ലെടുത്ത് കൃഷ്ണനോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു.
