tasmān nārhā vayaṁ hantuṁ dhārtarāṣhṭrān sa-bāndhavān sva-janaṁ hi kathaṁ hatvā sukhinaḥ syāma mādhava

ଅତଏବ ଆମ ସ୍ୱଜନ ଏହି ଧୃତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ଆମର ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ; କାରଣ ହେ ମାଧବ (କୃଷ୍ଣ)! ନିଜ ସ୍ୱଜନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରି ଆମେ କିପରି ସୁଖୀ ହୋଇପାରିବୁ?
