hataśeṣaṃ tataḥ sainyaṃ dṛṣṭvā caṇḍaṃ nipātitam muṇḍaṃ ca sumahāvīryaṃ diśo bheje bhayāturam

അപ്പോൾ സൈന്യത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവർ, ചണ്ഡൻ വീണതും മഹാ ശൂരനായ മുണ്ഡൻ (വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടതും) കണ്ട്, ഭയത്താൽ പീഡിതരായി എല്ലാ ദിക്കുകളിലേക്കും ഓടിപ്പോയി.
