About Mantra.Tips

Mantra.Tips is a free, ad-supported reference library for India’s devotional heritage — built to make sacred texts genuinely understandable, not just readable.

What we offer

  • 1000+ mantras, stotras, chalisas, aartis, kavachams and suktams — each with the original Sanskrit (Devanagari), accurate transliteration, word-by-word meaning, a full translation, benefits, and how-to-chant guidance.
  • Complete scriptures — the Bhagavad Gita (all 18 chapters, 700+ verses) and the Durga Saptashati, verse by verse with meaning.
  • Many Indian languages & scripts — read in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Punjabi and more, with the meaning rendered in your language, not just the sounds.
  • Daily-practice tools — Panchang, Choghadiya, Muhurat, festival and vrat calendars, a japa counter, and “what to chant today.”

Our approach to accuracy

Sacred texts deserve care. Each mantra’s Sanskrit is drawn from established, public-domain sources and traditional canon, and we prioritise verbatim accuracy over breadth — preferring a correct, well-known text to a doubtful one. Translations into regional languages aim to be faithful and devotionally appropriate. We continually review and refine the library, and we welcome corrections from knowledgeable readers.

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants to chant with understanding — daily practitioners, students of Sanskrit and scripture, families teaching the next generation, and curious readers worldwide. The core content is free to read.
