He whose bow is the jewelled mountain, who dwells upon the peak of the silver mountain, who made the king of serpents his bowstring and Vishnu his arrow, who swiftly burned the three cities, who is worshipped by the dwellers of heaven — I take refuge in that Chandrashekhara. पञ्चपादपपुष्पगन्धपदाम्बुजद्वयशोभितं भाललोचनजातपावकदग्धमन्मथविग्रहम्। भस्मदिग्धकलेवरं भवनाशनं भवमव्ययं चन्द्रशेखरमाश्रये मम किं करिष्यति वै यमः॥

He whose two lotus feet are fragrant and worshipped with flowers, who burned the body of Manmatha with the fire of his forehead eye, whose body is smeared with ash, who destroys worldly bondage and is himself imperishable — I take refuge in that Chandrashekhara. यक्षराजसखं भगाक्षहरं भुजङ्गविभूषणं शैलराजसुतापरिष्कृतचारुवामकलेवरम्। क्ष्वेलनीलगलं परश्वधधारिणं मृगधारिणं चन्द्रशेखरमाश्रये मम किं करिष्यति वै यमः॥

He who is the friend of Kubera, who destroyed Bhaga's eyes, who is adorned with serpents, whose lovely left half is shared by the daughter of the mountain king (Parvati), whose throat is blue from poison, who holds an axe and a deer — I take refuge in that Chandrashekhara. कुण्डलीकृतकुण्डलीश्वरकुण्डलं वृषवाहनं नारदादिमुनीश्वरस्तुतवैभवं भुवनेश्वरम्। अन्धकान्तकमाश्रितामरपादपं शमनान्तकं चन्द्रशेखरमाश्रये मम किं करिष्यति वै यमः॥

भेषजं भवरोगिणामखिलापदामपहारिणं दक्षयज्ञविनाशनं त्रिगुणात्मकं त्रिविलोचनम्। भुक्तिमुक्तिफलप्रदं सकलाघसङ्घनिबर्हणं चन्द्रशेखरमाश्रये मम किं करिष्यति वै यमः॥

He who is the medicine for those sick with worldly existence, who removes all calamities, who destroyed Daksha's sacrifice, who embodies the three gunas and has three eyes, who grants both enjoyment and liberation and annihilates all heaps of sin — I take refuge in that Chandrashekhara. What indeed can the lord of death do to me?
भक्तवत्सलमर्चितं निधिमक्षयं हरिदम्बरं सर्वभूतपतिं परात्परमप्रमेयमनुत्तमम्। सोमवारिनभोहुताशनसोमपामरमेश्वरं चन्द्रशेखरमाश्रये मम किं करिष्यति वै यमः॥
