Raised by the whole sangat with one voice, it carries both devotion and the fearless spirit of chardi kala.

ਅਰਥ:'Whoever utters (the Lord's name) shall be blessed — True is the Eternal, Timeless Lord!' This is the Sikh jaikara — the shout of joy and victory raised by the congregation. A leader calls out 'Jo bole so nihal' and all respond 'Sat Sri Akal'.
