ए तीरुग ननु दय चूचॆदवो

Verse 1
तीरुग ननु दय चूचॆदवो, इनवंशोत्तम रामा ना तरमा भव सागरमीदनु, नलिन दलेक्षण रामा तीरुग
ē tīruga nanu daya cūcedavō, inavaṃśōttama rāmā nā taramā bhava sāgaramīdanu, nalina dalēkṣaṇa rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
In what manner will you look upon me with mercy, O Rama, noblest of the Solar line? Is it within my power to swim across this ocean of worldly existence, O lotus-petal-eyed Rama?
Verse 2
श्री रघु नन्दन सीता रमणा, श्रितजन पोषक रामा कारुण्यालय भक्त वरद निनु, कन्नदि कानुपु रामा तीरुग
śrī raghu nandana sītā ramaṇā, śritajana pōṣaka rāmā kāruṇyālaya bhakta varada ninu, kannadi kānupu rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
O joy of the Raghu clan, beloved of Sita, nourisher of those who depend on you, O Rama; O abode of compassion, granter of boons to your devotees — you are both the mother who bore me and all that my eyes behold, O Rama.
Verse 3
क्रूरकर्ममुलु नेरक चेसिति, नेरमुलॆञ्चकु रामा दारिद्र्यमु परिहारमु सेयवे, दैव शिखामणि रामा तीरुग
krūrakarmamulu nēraka cēsiti, nēramuleñcaku rāmā dāridryamu parihāramu sēyavē, daiva śikhāmaṇi rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
Unknowingly I have committed cruel deeds — do not count my faults, O Rama. Take away this poverty of mine, O crest-jewel of the gods, O Rama.
Verse 4
वासवनुत रामदास पोषक वन्दन-मयोध्य रामा दासार्चित माकभय-मॊसङ्गवे दाशरथी रघुरामा तीरुग
vāsavanuta rāmadāsa pōṣaka vandana-mayōdhya rāmā dāsārcita mākabhaya-mosaṅgavē dāśarathī raghurāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
O Rama praised by Indra, sustainer of Ramadasa — salutations, O Rama of Ayodhya! Grant fearlessness to this servant who worships you, O Dasharathi, Raghurama.
Verse 5
गुरुडवु ना मदि दैवमु नीवनि गुरुशास्त्रम्बुलु रामा गुरुदैवम्बनि यॆरुगक तिरिगॆडु क्रूरुडनैतिनि रामा तीरुग
guruḍavu nā madi daivamu nīvani guruśāstrambulu rāmā gurudaivambani yerugaka tirigeḍu krūruḍanaitini rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
The scriptures of the gurus declare, 'the Guru is the God of your own heart', O Rama; not knowing the Guru to be God, I wandered astray and turned cruel, O Rama.
Verse 6
निण्डिति वी वखिलाण्ड कोटि ब्रह्माण्डमुलन्दुन रामा निण्डुग मदि नी नाममु दलचिन नित्यानन्दमु रामा तीरुग
niṇḍiti vī vakhilāṇḍa kōṭi brahmāṇḍamulanduna rāmā niṇḍuga madi nī nāmamu dalacina nityānandamu rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
You fill the countless crores of universes of this whole cosmos, O Rama; and when the heart, brimming full, dwells on your name, there is everlasting bliss, O Rama.
Verse 7
वासव कमल भवासुरवन्दित वारधि बन्धन रामा भासुर वर सद्गुणमुलु कल्गिन भद्राद्रीश्वर रामा तीरुग
vāsava kamala bhavāsuravandita vāradhi bandhana rāmā bhāsura vara sadguṇamulu kalgina bhadrādrīśvara rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥
O Rama adored by Indra, by the lotus-born Brahma and by the gods; O binder of the ocean with your bridge, O Rama; O Lord of Bhadradri, endowed with radiant, noble virtues, O Rama!
Verse 8
मुरिपॆमुतो ना स्वामिवि नेवनि मुन्दुग तॆल्पिति रामा मरुवक इक नभिमानमुन्चु ने मरुगुजॊछितिनि रामा तीरुग तीरुग ननु दय चूचॆदवो, इनवंशोत्तम रामा ना तरमा भव सागरमीदनु, नलिन दलेक्षण रामा
muripemutō nā svāmivi nēvani munduga telpiti rāmā maruvaka ika nabhimānamuncu nē marugujochitini rāmā ॥ ē tīruga ॥ ē tīruga nanu daya cūcedavō, inavaṃśōttama rāmā nā taramā bhava sāgaramīdanu, nalina dalēkṣaṇa rāmā
With fond pride I declared beforehand, 'You are my Lord', O Rama; never forgetting, keep your gracious regard upon me — I have taken refuge in you, O Rama. In what manner will you show me mercy, O Rama, noblest of the Solar race — can I ever cross this ocean of existence by my own strength, O lotus-eyed Rama?
