Come, O Sun-god, thousand-rayed one, mass of effulgence, Lord of the universe! Be gracious to me for my devotion, O maker of the day, and accept this offering of water. Salutations to Surya. Salutations to Aditya. Salutations to Bhaskara. This Arghya is offered to you; it is not mine. (The worshipper lifts water in both hands and lets it fall in a stream toward the Sun while reciting these words.)
