The Shani Vajra Panjara Kavacham is a cherished traditional hymn. The "diamond-cage armour" of Shani — a protective kavacham invoking Lord Shani (Saturn), the son of the Sun, to shield the devotee on every side from the troubles of his transit (Sade Sati and Dhaiya) and to grant his grace.

As told in scripture

It is said that to recite the Shani Vajra Panjara Kavacham with a sincere and devoted heart is to draw near to the grace of the divine, which never forsakes those who lovingly call upon it.
