The Sankatnashana Ganesha Stotra comes from the Narada Purana, where it is given as a sure means of removing all obstacles. In eight verses it bows to Gauri's son and recites his twelve names, promising that whoever remembers them at the three sandhyas will face no obstacle and gain knowledge, wealth, children and liberation. It is among the most widely recited Ganesha stotras, chanted before any new beginning.

Meaning:ಗೌರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ವಿನಾಯಕ ದೇವನಿಗೆ ಶಿರಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ಭಕ್ತರ ಆಶ್ರಯವಾದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಬೇಕು — ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಸ್ಸು, ಬಯಕೆಗಳ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ.

Meaning:ಐದನೆಯದು ಲಂಬೋದರ, ಆರನೆಯದು ವಿಕಟ; ಏಳನೆಯದು ವಿಘ್ನರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ, ಎಂಟನೆಯದು ಧೂಮ್ರವರ್ಣ.

Meaning:ಈ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ನಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಂಧ್ಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಠಿಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಘ್ನ ಭಯವೂ ಇರದು, ಓ ಪ್ರಭು, ಇದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.

Meaning:ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನು ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಧನವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನು ಧನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನು ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಮೋಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವವನು ಗತಿ (ಮುಕ್ತಿ) ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
