Verse 1

बारम्बार प्रणाम, करूँ महारानी । दया दृष्टि कीजै, हे जगत-जननी ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा, मैया जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Baarambaara pranaama, karoon Maharaani Daya drishti keejai, he jagata-janani Om Jai Annapurna, Maiya Jai Annapurna

Again and again I bow to you, O great Queen; cast your compassionate glance upon me, O Mother of the world. Victory to you, Mother Annapurna!

Verse 2

जगत-जननी जगदम्बा, अन्न-धन देती हो । सकल विश्व की माता, सबको पालन करती हो ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Jagata-janani Jagadamba, anna-dhana deti ho Sakala vishva ki maata, sabako paalana karti ho Om Jai Annapurna

O Mother of the world, Jagadamba, you bestow food and wealth; mother of the entire universe, you nourish and sustain all.

Verse 3

काशीपुरी अधिष्ठात्री, विश्वेश्वर प्यारी । हाथ कमण्डल त्रिशूल, ज्वालामुखी न्यारी ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Kaasheepuri adhishthaatri, Vishveshvara pyaari Haatha kamandala trishoola, jvaalaamukhi nyaari Om Jai Annapurna

Presiding goddess of Kashi and beloved of Lord Vishweshwara, holding the water-pot and trident, radiant and matchless.

Verse 4

जो जन तुमको ध्यावे, भूखा नहिं रहता । रंक होय धनवन्ता, सब कुछ है पाता ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Jo jana tumako dhyaave, bhookha nahin rahata Ranka hoya dhanavanta, saba kuchha hai paata Om Jai Annapurna

Whoever meditates upon you never goes hungry; even a destitute person becomes wealthy and obtains everything.

Verse 5

भक्त-जनों को सुख दे, सम्पति-धन देती । भण्डारे भरपूर रहें, यश सब जग गाती ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Bhakta-janon ko sukha de, sampati-dhana deti Bhandaare bharapoora rahen, yasha saba jaga gaati Om Jai Annapurna

You give joy to your devotees and grant them prosperity and riches; may their storehouses stay ever full, and the whole world sings your glory.

Verse 6

शंकर सहित विराजत, मैया जग-तारिणी । कर में अन्न-कटोरा, करुणा की खानी ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Shankara sahita viraajata, Maiya jaga-taarini Kara mein anna-katora, karuna ki khaani Om Jai Annapurna

Seated together with Lord Shankara, O Mother, deliverer of the world, you hold a bowl of food in your hand — you are a very mine of compassion.

Verse 7

अन्नपूर्णा की आरती, जो कोई नर गावे । सुख-सम्पति सब पावे, परम पद पावे ॥ ॐ जय अन्नपूर्णा, मैया जय अन्नपूर्णा ॥

Annapurna ki aarti, jo koi nara gaave Sukha-sampati saba paave, parama pada paave Om Jai Annapurna, Maiya Jai Annapurna

Whoever sings this aarti of Annapurna obtains every happiness and prosperity, and attains the supreme state.
