This is the Ashtakam of the primordial Bhuvaneshwari, O fair-faced Goddess. The mortal who, with a loving heart and faith, recites it at the three twilights — for him the siddhis come under control, prosperity is at his command in the home, and even kings come under his sway by the power of this hymn. Ghosts, goblins, evil spirits and malefic planets do not even look toward his direction. Whatever desire the devotee with a loving heart wishes for, that he obtains by the grace of Bhuvaneshwari. There is no hymn equal to this in the three worlds; it grants every prosperity and is the purifier of even the pure. By accomplishing this excellent hymn, O fair-faced one, riches come under one's command through the grace of Bhuvaneshwari.
