इन्द्रकृत लक्ष्मीस्तोत्रम्

Verse 1
ॐ नमः कमलवासिन्यै नारायण्यै नमो नमः।
कृष्णप्रियायै सारायै पद्मायै च नमो नमः॥
Om Namah Kamala Vasinyai Narayanyai Namo Namah
Krishnapriyayai Sarayai Padmayai Cha Namo Namah
Om, salutations again and again to her who dwells on the lotus, to Narayani; salutations to the beloved of Krishna, to the essence of all, to Padma (the lotus goddess).
Verse 2
पद्मपत्रेक्षणायै च पद्मास्यायै नमो नमः।
पद्मासनायै पद्मिन्यै वैष्णव्यै च नमो नमः॥
Padma Patrekshanayai Cha Padmasyayai Namo Namah
Padmasanayai Padminyai Vaishnavyai Cha Namo Namah
Salutations to her of lotus eyes and lotus face; to her seated on the lotus, the lotus-dweller, the Vaishnavi — salutations again and again.
Verse 3
सर्वसम्पत्स्वरूपायै सर्वदात्र्यै नमो नमः।
सुखदायै मोक्षदायै सिद्धिदायै नमो नमः॥
Sarva Sampat Svarupayai Sarvadatryai Namo Namah
Sukhadayai Mokshadayai Siddhidayai Namo Namah
Salutations to her who is the embodiment of all prosperity, the giver of all; to the bestower of happiness, of liberation and of perfection.
Verse 4
हरिभक्तिप्रदात्र्यै च हर्षदात्र्यै नमो नमः।
कृष्णवक्षस्थितायै च कृष्णेशायै नमो नमः॥
Haribhakti Pradatryai Cha Harshadatryai Namo Namah
Krishna Vakshasthitayai Cha Krishneshayai Namo Namah
Salutations to the giver of devotion to Hari and of joy; to her who abides on Krishna's chest, the goddess of Krishna.
Verse 5
कृष्णशोभास्वरूपायै रत्नाढ्यायै नमो नमः।
सम्पत्त्यधिष्ठातृदेव्यै महादेव्यै नमो नमः॥
Krishna Shobha Svarupayai Ratnadhyayai Namo Namah
Sampatti Adhishthatru Devyai Mahadevyai Namo Namah
Salutations to her who is the very beauty of Krishna, rich with jewels; to the presiding deity of wealth, the great goddess.
Verse 6
सस्याधिष्ठातृदेव्यै च सस्यलक्ष्म्यै नमो नमः।
नमो बुद्धिस्वरूपायै बुद्धिदायै नमो नमः॥
Sasya Adhishthatru Devyai Cha Sasya Lakshmyai Namo Namah
Namo Buddhi Svarupayai Buddhidayai Namo Namah
Salutations to the presiding deity of crops, to Sasya-Lakshmi (the Lakshmi of harvest); salutations to her who is the form of wisdom, the giver of intellect.
Verse 7
वैकुण्ठे च महालक्ष्मीर्लक्ष्मीः क्षीरोदसागरे।
स्वर्गलक्ष्मीरिन्द्रगेहे राजलक्ष्मीर्नृपालये॥
Vaikunthe Cha Mahalakshmir Lakshmih Kshiroda Sagare
Svarga Lakshmir Indra Gehe Raja Lakshmir Nripalaye
In Vaikuntha she is Mahalakshmi; in the ocean of milk she is Lakshmi; in Indra's heaven she is Svarga-Lakshmi; in the king's palace she is Raja-Lakshmi.
Verse 8
गृहलक्ष्मीश्च गृहिणां गेहे च गृहदेवता।
सुरभिस्सा गवां माता दक्षिणा यज्ञकामिनी॥
Griha Lakshmish Cha Grihinam Gehe Cha Griha Devata
Surabhih Sa Gavam Mata Dakshina Yajna Kamini
In the homes of householders she is Griha-Lakshmi and the household deity; she is Surabhi the mother of cows, and Dakshina, the deity of sacrificial offering.
Verse 9
अदितिर्देवमाता त्वं कमला कमलालये।
स्वाहा त्वं च हविर्दाने कव्यदाने स्वधा स्मृता॥
Aditir Deva Mata Tvam Kamala Kamalalaye
Svaha Tvam Cha Havirdane Kavyadane Svadha Smrita
You are Aditi the mother of the gods, and Kamala in the lotus-abode; you are Svaha in the offering to the gods and Svadha in the offering to the ancestors.
Verse 10
त्वं हि विष्णुस्वरूपा च सर्वाधारा वसुन्धरा।
शुद्धसत्त्वस्वरूपा त्वं नारायणपरायणा॥
Tvam Hi Vishnu Svarupa Cha Sarvadhara Vasundhara
Shuddha Sattva Svarupa Tvam Narayana Parayana
You are indeed of the nature of Vishnu, the all-supporting Earth; you are of the nature of pure goodness, ever devoted to Narayana.
Verse 11
क्रोधहिंसावर्जिता च वरदा च शुभानना।
परमार्थप्रदा त्वं च हरिदास्यप्रदा परा॥
Krodha Himsa Varjita Cha Varada Cha Shubhanana
Paramartha Prada Tvam Cha Haridasya Prada Para
Free of anger and violence, boon-giving and gentle-faced; you grant the highest goal and the supreme service of Hari.
Verse 12
यया विना जगत्सर्वं भस्मीभूतमसारकम्।
जीवन्मृतं च विश्वं च शवतुल्यं यया विना॥
Yaya Vina Jagat Sarvam Bhasmibhutam Asarakam
Jivanmritam Cha Vishvam Cha Shava Tulyam Yaya Vina
Without whom the entire world is but lifeless ash; without whom the universe is dead-while-living, like a corpse.
Verse 13
सर्वेषां च परा त्वं हि सर्वबान्धवरूपिणी।
यया विना न सम्भाष्यो बान्धवैर्बान्धवः सदा॥
Sarvesham Cha Para Tvam Hi Sarva Bandhava Rupini
Yaya Vina Na Sambhashyo Bandhavair Bandhavah Sada
You are supreme to all and the very form of every kinship; without you even a kinsman is never truly addressed as kin.
Verse 14
त्वया हीनो बन्धुहीनस्त्वया युक्तः सबान्धवः।
धर्मार्थकाममोक्षाणां त्वं च कारणरूपिणी॥
Tvaya Hino Bandhuhinas Tvaya Yuktah Sabandhavah
Dharma Artha Kama Mokshanam Tvam Cha Karana Rupini
Without you one is without relations; with you one is rich in kin; you are the very cause of righteousness, wealth, desire and liberation.
Verse 15
स्तनन्धयानां त्वं माता शिशूनां शैशवे यथा।
तथा त्वं सर्वदा माता सर्वेषां सर्वविश्वतः॥
Stanandhayanam Tvam Mata Shishunam Shaishave Yatha
Tatha Tvam Sarvada Mata Sarvesham Sarva Vishvatah
As a mother is to suckling infants in their infancy, so are you forever the mother of all, throughout all the worlds.
Verse 16
त्यक्तस्तनो मातृहीनः स चेज्जीवति दैवतः।
त्वया हीनो जनः कोऽपि न जीवत्येव निश्चितम्॥
Tyakta Stano Matruhinah Sa Chej Jivati Daivatah
Tvaya Hino Janah Kopi Na Jivatyeva Nishchitam
A motherless infant deprived of the breast may yet live by fate; but no person whatsoever can truly live deprived of you — this is certain.
Verse 17
सुप्रसन्नस्वरूपा त्वं मे प्रसन्ना भवाम्बिके।
वैरिग्रहस्तद्विषयं देहि मह्यं सनातनि॥
Suprasanna Svarupa Tvam Me Prasanna Bhava Ambike
Vairigrahas Tad Vishayam Dehi Mahyam Sanatani
You are of supremely gracious form; be gracious to me, O Mother. Grant me, O Eternal One, that prosperity which has fallen into the grip of my enemies.
Verse 18
वयं यावत्त्वया हीना बन्धुहीनाश्च भिक्षुकाः।
सर्वसम्पद्विहीनाश्च तावदेव हरिप्रिये॥
Vayam Yavat Tvaya Hina Bandhuhinash Cha Bhikshukah
Sarva Sampad Vihinash Cha Tavadeva Haripriye
As long as we are bereft of you, we are without kin, mere beggars, and destitute of all wealth, O beloved of Hari.
Verse 19
राज्यं देहि श्रियं देहि बलं देहि सुरेश्वरि।
कीर्तिं देहि धनं देहि पुत्रान्मह्यं च देहि वै॥
Rajyam Dehi Shriyam Dehi Balam Dehi Sureshvari
Kirtim Dehi Dhanam Dehi Putran Mahyam Cha Dehi Vai
Grant me kingdom, grant me prosperity, grant me strength, O queen of the gods; grant me fame, grant me wealth, and grant me sons.
Verse 20
कामं देहि मतिं देहि भोगान्देहि हरिप्रिये।
ज्ञानं देहि च धर्मं च सर्वसौभाग्यमीप्सितम्॥
Kamam Dehi Matim Dehi Bhogan Dehi Haripriye
Jnanam Dehi Cha Dharmam Cha Sarva Saubhagyam Ipsitam
Grant me desire, grant me intellect, grant me enjoyments, O beloved of Hari; grant me knowledge and righteousness and all the auspiciousness that I long for.
Verse 21
सर्वाधिकारमेवं वै प्रभावं च प्रतापकम्।
जयं पराक्रमं युद्धे परमैश्वर्यमेव च॥
Sarva Adhikaram Evam Vai Prabhavam Cha Pratapakam
Jayam Parakramam Yuddhe Paramaishvaryam Eva Cha
Grant me likewise all authority, glory and majesty, victory, valour in battle, and supreme lordship.
