कमला स्तोत्रम् (ओंकाररूपिणी देवि)

Verse 1
ओंकाररूपिणी देवि विशुद्धसत्त्वरूपिणी। देवानां जननी त्वं हि प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Oṁkārarūpiṇī devi viśuddhasattvarūpiṇī। devānāṁ jananī tvaṁ hi prasannā bhava sundari॥
O Goddess whose form is Om, embodiment of pure sattva, you are the mother of the gods — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 2
तन्मात्रं चैव भूतानि तव वक्षस्थलं स्मृतम्। त्वमेव वेदगम्या तु प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Tanmātraṁ caiva bhūtāni tava vakṣasthalaṁ smṛtam। tvam eva vedagamyā tu prasannā bhava sundari॥
The subtle elements (tanmatras) and the gross elements are said to be your bosom; you alone are knowable through the Vedas — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 3
देवदानवगन्धर्वयक्षराक्षसकिन्नरैः। स्तूयसे त्वं सदा लक्ष्मि प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Devadānavagandharvayakṣarākṣasakinnaraiḥ। stūyase tvaṁ sadā lakṣmi prasannā bhava sundari॥
By gods, demons, gandharvas, yakshas, rakshasas and kinnaras you are ever praised, O Lakshmi — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 4
लोकातीता द्वैतातीता समस्तभूतवेष्टिता। विद्वज्जनकीर्तिता प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Lokātītā dvaitātītā samastabhūtaveṣṭitā। vidvajjanakīrtitā ca prasannā bhava sundari॥
Beyond the worlds, beyond duality, encompassing all beings, extolled by the wise — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 5
परिपूर्णा सदा लक्ष्मि त्रात्री तु शरणार्थिषु। विश्वाद्या विश्वकर्त्री प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Paripūrṇā sadā lakṣmi trātrī tu śaraṇārthiṣu। viśvādyā viśvakartrī ca prasannā bhava sundari॥
Ever complete, O Lakshmi, you are the saviour of those who take refuge in you; the origin of the universe and its maker — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 6
ब्रह्मरूपा सावित्री त्वद्दीप्त्या भासते जगत्। विश्वरूपा वरेण्या प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Brahmarūpā ca sāvitrī tvaddīptyā bhāsate jagat। viśvarūpā vareṇyā ca prasannā bhava sundari॥
Of the form of Brahman, and Savitri; by your radiance the whole world shines; you are of universal form and most worthy of worship — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 7
क्षित्यप्तेजोमरुद्व्योमपञ्चभूतस्वरूपिणी। बन्धादेः कारणं त्वं हि प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Kṣityaptejomarudvyomapañcabhūtasvarūpiṇī। bandhādeḥ kāraṇaṁ tvaṁ hi prasannā bhava sundari॥
You are the very nature of the five elements — earth, water, fire, wind and ether; you are the cause of bondage and the rest — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 8
महेशे त्वं हेमवती कमला केशवेऽपि च। ब्रह्मणः प्रेयसी त्वं हि प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Maheśe tvaṁ hemavatī kamalā keśave'pi ca। brahmaṇaḥ preyasī tvaṁ hi prasannā bhava sundari॥
To Mahesha (Shiva) you are Hemavati (Parvati), to Keshava (Vishnu) you are Kamala, and you are the beloved of Brahma — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 9
चण्डी दुर्गा कालिका कौशिकी सिद्धिरूपिणी। योगिनी योगगम्या प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Caṇḍī durgā kālikā ca kauśikī siddhirūpiṇī। yoginī yogagamyā ca prasannā bhava sundari॥
You are Chandi, Durga, Kalika, Kaushiki and the embodiment of all attainment; you are the Yogini, attainable through yoga — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 10
त्वमादिर्जगतां देवि त्वमेव स्थितिकारणम्। त्वमन्ते निधनस्थानं स्वेच्छाचारा त्वमेव हि॥
Tvam ādir jagatāṁ devi tvam eva sthitikāraṇam। tvam ante nidhanasthānaṁ svecchācārā tvam eva hi॥
You are the beginning of the worlds, O Goddess; you alone are the cause of their sustenance; in the end you are the place of their dissolution; you alone act by your own free will.
Verse 11
त्वदाज्ञया तु देवेशि गगने सूर्यमण्डलम्। चन्द्रश्च भ्रमते नित्यं प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि॥
Tvadājñayā tu deveśi gagane sūryamaṇḍalam। candraś ca bhramate nityaṁ prasannā bhava sundari॥
By your command, O Empress of the gods, the orb of the sun and the moon ever revolve in the sky — O beautiful one, be gracious to me.
Verse 12
लक्ष्मीस्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेद्भक्तिसंयुतः। सर्वज्वरभयं नश्येत्सर्वव्याधिनिवारणम्॥
Lakṣmīstotram idaṁ puṇyaṁ yaḥ paṭhed bhaktisaṁyutaḥ। sarvajvarabhayaṁ naśyet sarvavyādhinivāraṇam॥
Whoever, full of devotion, recites this holy hymn to Lakshmi — all fear of fever is destroyed and all disease is warded off. This hymn is of great merit and the cause of rescue from calamity; the man who recites it constantly, at the three twilights or even once, is freed from all sins and from every danger — of this there is no doubt, on earth, in heaven or in the nether world.
Verse 13
इदं स्तोत्रं महापुण्यमापदुद्धारकारणम्। त्रिसन्ध्यमेकसन्ध्यं वा यः पठेत्सततं नरः॥
Idaṁ stotraṁ mahāpuṇyam āpaduddhārakāraṇam। trisandhyam ekasandhyaṁ vā yaḥ paṭhet satataṁ naraḥ॥
Verse 14
मुच्यते सर्वपापेभ्यस्तथा तु सर्वसंकटात्। मुच्यते नात्र सन्देहो भुवि स्वर्गे रसातले॥
Mucyate sarvapāpebhyas tathā tu sarvasaṁkaṭāt। mucyate nātra sandeho bhuvi svarge rasātale॥
