The Navagraha mantras originate from the Vedic astronomical tradition where sages observed that nine celestial bodies profoundly influence human life. Sage Parashara systematized this knowledge in the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, the foundational text of Vedic astrology. Temples dedicated to the Navagraha exist throughout South India, where devotees circumambulate the nine planetary deities to seek their blessings.
✦ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ କୁହାଯାଇଥିବା ପରି
In the Ramayana, when Lord Ram was about to be crowned king, the planets aligned unfavorably due to Saturn's influence. This led to Ram's exile. Later, when Hanuman confronted Shani (Saturn) and freed him from Ravana's prison, Shani promised that he would be gentle with anyone who worships Hanuman. This is why Hanuman worship is considered a remedy for Saturn-related difficulties in Vedic astrology.

Om Angarakaya Namah
ଅର୍ଥ:Om, I bow to Mars — planet of courage and energy.
ଓଁ ବୁଧାଯ ନମଃ
Om Budhaya Namah
ଅର୍ଥ:Om, I bow to Mercury — planet of intellect and communication.
ଓଁ ବୃହସ୍ପତଯେ ନମଃ
Om Brihaspataye Namah
ଅର୍ଥ:Om, I bow to Jupiter — the great teacher and source of wisdom.
ଓଁ ଶୁକ୍ରାଯ ନମଃ
Om Shukraya Namah
ଅର୍ଥ:Om, I bow to Venus — planet of love, beauty and arts.
ଓଁ ଶନୈଶ୍ଚରାଯ ନମଃ
Om Shanaishcharaya Namah
ଅର୍ଥ:Om, I bow to Saturn — lord of karma, discipline and justice.

Navagraha Mantra ପାଠ ବିଧି
Chant all nine mantras in sequence, 108 times each or at minimum 11 times each. For specific planetary remedies, chant the relevant planet's mantra on its day: Surya on Sunday, Chandra on Monday, Mangal on Tuesday, Budh on Wednesday, Guru on Thursday, Shukra on Friday, Shani on Saturday. Rahu and Ketu are chanted during Rahu Kaal or on Saturdays.
