ऋणमोचक मङ्गल स्तोत्रम्

Verse 1
॥ श्रीगणेशाय नमः ॥
|| śrīgaṇeśāya namaḥ ||
Salutations to Sri Ganesha.
Verse 2
मङ्गलो भूमिपुत्रश्च ऋणहर्ता धनप्रदः ।
स्थिरासनो महाकायः सर्वकर्माविरोधकः ॥ १॥
maṅgalo bhūmiputraśca ṛṇahartā dhanapradaḥ |
sthirāsano mahākāyaḥ sarvakarmāvirodhakaḥ || 1||
Mangala, the son of the Earth, the remover of debt, the giver of wealth; firm-seated, mighty-bodied, the one who removes all obstruction from undertakings.
Verse 3
लोहितो लोहिताक्षश्च सामगानां कृपाकरः ।
धरात्मजः कुजो भौमो भूतिदो भूमिनन्दनः ॥ २॥
lohito lohitākṣaśca sāmagānāṃ kṛpākaraḥ |
dharātmajaḥ kujo bhaumo bhūtido bhūminandanaḥ || 2||
The ruddy one, the red-eyed, gracious to those who sing the Sama-Veda; son of the Earth, Kuja, Bhauma, giver of prosperity, delight of the Earth.
Verse 4
अङ्गारको यमश्चैव सर्वरोगापहारकः ।
वृष्टेः कर्ताऽपहर्ता च सर्वकामफलप्रदः ॥ ३॥
aṅgārako yamaścaiva sarvarogāpahārakaḥ |
vṛṣṭeḥ kartā'pahartā ca sarvakāmaphalapradaḥ || 3||
Angaraka, and Yama (the controller), the remover of all disease; maker and withholder of rain, granter of the fruits of all desires.
Verse 5
एतानि कुजनामानि नित्यं यः श्रद्धया पठेत् ।
ऋणं न जायते तस्य धनं शीघ्रमवाप्नुयात् ॥ ४॥
etāni kujanāmāni nityaṃ yaḥ śraddhayā paṭhet |
ṛṇaṃ na jāyate tasya dhanaṃ śīghramavāpnuyāt || 4||
Whoever recites these names of Kuja daily with faith — for him no debt arises, and he quickly attains wealth.
Verse 6
धरणीगर्भसम्भूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम् ।
कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं च मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ५॥
dharaṇīgarbhasambhūtaṃ vidyutkāntisamaprabham |
kumāraṃ śaktihastaṃ ca maṅgalaṃ praṇamāmyaham || 5||
Born from the womb of the Earth, shining like a flash of lightning, the youthful prince with a spear in his hand — to that Mangala I bow.
Verse 7
स्तोत्रमङ्गारकस्यैतत्पठनीयं सदा नृभिः ।
न तेषां भौमजा पीडा स्वल्पापि भवति क्वचित् ॥ ६॥
stotramaṅgārakasyaitatpaṭhanīyaṃ sadā nṛbhiḥ |
na teṣāṃ bhaumajā pīḍā svalpāpi bhavati kvacit || 6||
This hymn of Angaraka should ever be recited by people; for them not even the slightest affliction caused by Mars ever arises.
Verse 8
अङ्गारक महाभाग भगवन्भक्तवत्सल ।
त्वां नमामि ममाशेषमृणमाशु विनाशय ॥ ७॥
aṅgāraka mahābhāga bhagavanbhaktavatsala |
tvāṃ namāmi mamāśeṣamṛṇamāśu vināśaya || 7||
O Angaraka, greatly fortunate one, divine Lord, loving to your devotees, I bow to you — quickly destroy all my debt without remainder.
Verse 9
ऋणरोगादिदारिद्र्यं ये चान्ये ह्यपमृत्यवः ।
भयक्लेशमनस्तापा नश्यन्तु मम सर्वदा ॥ ८॥
ṛṇarogādidāridryaṃ ye cānye hyapamṛtyavaḥ |
bhayakleśamanastāpā naśyantu mama sarvadā || 8||
May debt, disease, poverty, untimely deaths, and all other fears, sorrows and mental anguish be destroyed for me forever.
Verse 10
अतिवक्र दुराराध्य भोगमुक्त जितात्मनः ।
तुष्टो ददासि साम्राज्यं रुष्टो हरसि तत्क्षणात् ॥ ९॥
ativakra durārādhya bhogamukta jitātmanaḥ |
tuṣṭo dadāsi sāmrājyaṃ ruṣṭo harasi tatkṣaṇāt || 9||
O exceedingly devious one, hard to propitiate, free from attachment, self-controlled — when pleased you grant an empire, and when angered you snatch it away in an instant.
Verse 11
विरिञ्चिशक्रविष्णूनां मनुष्याणां तु का कथा ।
तेन त्वं सर्वसत्त्वेन ग्रहराजो महाबलः ॥ १०॥
viriñciśakraviṣṇūnāṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ tu kā kathā |
tena tvaṃ sarvasattvena graharājo mahābalaḥ || 10||
What to speak of human beings, when even Brahma, Indra and Vishnu (feel your power)? By that very strength you are the mighty king of the planets.
Verse 12
पुत्रान्देहि धनं देहि त्वामस्मि शरणं गतः ।
ऋणदारिद्र्यदुःखेन शत्रूणां च भयात्ततः ॥ ११॥
putrāndehi dhanaṃ dehi tvāmasmi śaraṇaṃ gataḥ |
ṛṇadāridryaduḥkhena śatrūṇāṃ ca bhayāttataḥ || 11||
Grant me sons, grant me wealth; I have come to you for refuge, afflicted by debt, poverty and sorrow, and by fear of enemies.
Verse 13
एभिर्द्वादशभिः श्लोकैर्यः स्तौति च धरासुतम् ।
महतीं श्रियमाप्नोति ह्यपरो धनदो युवा ॥ १२॥
ebhirdvādaśabhiḥ ślokairyaḥ stauti ca dharāsutam |
mahatīṃ śriyamāpnoti hyaparo dhanado yuvā || 12||
Whoever praises the son of the Earth with these twelve verses obtains great prosperity, becoming like a second Kubera (god of wealth), young and vigorous.
Verse 14
॥ इति श्रीस्कन्दपुराणे भार्गवप्रोक्तं ऋणमोचकमङ्गलस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
|| iti śrīskandapurāṇe bhārgavaproktaṃ ṛṇamocakamaṅgalastotraṃ sampūrṇam ||
