Bija (seed) mantras are single-syllable sounds in which the entire energy of a deity is concentrated, revealed to the rishis in deep meditation. Shreem is described in the tantras as the beej of Shri/Lakshmi — the very vibration of abundance. Lakshmi herself emerged radiant upon a lotus during the churning of the cosmic ocean (Samudra Manthan), and her seed-sound Shreem is held to carry that same primordial energy of prosperity and grace.

Shreem Beej Mantra જપ વિધિ
Sit in a clean, beautiful, well-lit space — Lakshmi is drawn to cleanliness and order. Light a lamp or candle and, if possible, offer a yellow or red flower. Face east or north. Using a crystal, lotus-seed or red coral mala, chant 'Om Shreem Namah' (or simply 'Shreem') 108 times. Pronounce Shreem with a long 'ee' and let the 'm' resonate in the head. As you chant, visualise warm golden light filling your home, work and relationships, and feel sincere gratitude for what you already have. Begin or intensify the practice on a Friday, Lakshmi's sacred day, ideally for 40 consecutive days.
