Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18, Verse 77 · Sage Veda Vyasa (Mahabharata, Bhishma Parva) · Ancient (text compiled c. 5th–2nd century BCE)

Near the very end of the eighteenth chapter, Moksha Sannyasa Yoga, Sanjaya reflects on all he has witnessed and narrated to Dhritarashtra. Recalling repeatedly the most wonderful cosmic form of Krishna, he is overcome with wonder and rejoices again and again — one of the final verses that convey the bliss of remembering the Lord.

ಅರ್ಥ:And remembering again and again that most wonderful form of Hari, great is my wonder, O King; and I rejoice over and over again.

Chant this verse while lovingly recalling the Lord's wonderful form and deeds. As you recite, let Sanjaya's example inspire you to remember the Divine again and again, allowing wonder and joy to well up in your heart. It is a fitting verse for contemplative remembrance (smarana) and for sealing a reading of the eleventh-chapter cosmic vision with devotion.

Sanjaya speaks this verse to King Dhritarashtra. Having narrated the entire dialogue, including the vision of the cosmic form, Sanjaya expresses his own continuing wonder and joy at remembering that marvelous form of Krishna.

Each time Sanjaya recalls the wonderful universal form of the Lord, fresh wonder and bliss arise in his heart. This repeated joy shows how the remembrance of the Divine continually uplifts and delights the devotee.

It teaches the power of remembrance (smarana). By recalling the Lord's glory again and again, the heart is filled with wonder and joy. Loving, repeated remembrance of God is itself a sweet and uplifting form of devotion.
