In the Shakta tantras, Kreem is the great seed of Kali, the Mother who is beyond time (kala) and dissolves all that is impermanent. Composed of 'Ka' (Kali), 'Ra' (fire), 'Ee' (Mahamaya) and the bindu, it concentrates her transformative, fearless power into a single syllable. Kali stands at the head of the ten Mahavidyas, and her seed-sound Kreem is central to the most powerful protective and liberating mantras of the tradition.

Chant 'Om Kreem Kalikayai Namah' 108 times using a rudraksha mala, pronouncing 'Kreem' with a rolled 'r' and resonant bindu. Surrender your fears and ego to the Mother as you chant. The new-moon night (Amavasya), and especially Kali Chaudas at Diwali, are the most powerful occasions. Maintain purity, humility and a fearless, loving heart.
