ayaṁ nijaḥ paro veti gaṇanā laghu-cetasām। udāra-caritānāṁ tu vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam॥
અર્થ:"This one is my own and that one is a stranger" — such calculation belongs to the small-minded; but for the noble-hearted, the whole world is one family. The verse contrasts the narrow reckoning of pettiness with the magnanimous vision that embraces all of humanity as kin.
