The Mangalasasanam forms the closing portion of the daily liturgy at the Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara. After the Lord is awakened with the Suprabhatam, praised with the Stotram, and surrendered to with the Prapatti, the worship concludes with this Mangalasasanam in which the devotee, brimming with love, wishes long auspiciousness upon the Lord and upon the lineage of acharyas who have ever sung His glory. The Sri Vaishnava idea of mangalasasanam — blessing the Lord out of pure affection rather than asking anything for oneself — is its heart.

Devotees of Tirumala hold that to wish the Lord 'Mangalam' with selfless love at the close of His worship is itself the highest reward, for the Lord who detached Himself even from Vaikuntha to dwell among His devotees responds to such love by granting unasked every blessing, prosperity and protection.

ശ്രിയഃ കാന്തായ കല്യാണനിധയേ നിധയേഽര്ഥിനാമ് । ശ്രീവേങ്കടനിവാസായ ശ്രീനിവാസായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧ ॥
śriyaḥ kāntāya kalyāṇanidhaye nidhaye'rthinām | śrīveṅkaṭanivāsāya śrīnivāsāya maṅgalam || 1 ||
അർഥം:May all auspiciousness be to Srinivasa, the beloved of Sri, the treasure of blessings, the refuge of all who seek, who dwells on the sacred Venkata Hill. (1)
ലക്ഷ്മീസവിഭ്രമാലോകസുഭ്രൂവിഭ്രമചക്ഷുഷേ । ചക്ഷുഷേ സര്വലോകാനാം വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൨ ॥
lakṣmīsavibhramālokasubhrūvibhramacakṣuṣe | cakṣuṣe sarvalokānāṃ veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 2 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha, whose eyes dance like the playful glance of Lakshmi's arched brows, and who is Himself the guiding eye of all the worlds. (2)
ശ്രീവേങ്കടാദ്രിശൃങ്ഗാഗ്രമങ്ഗലാഭരണാങ്ഘ്രയേ । മങ്ഗലാനാം നിവാസായ ശ്രീനിവാസായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൩ ॥
śrīveṅkaṭādriśṛṅgāgramaṅgalābharaṇāṅghraye | maṅgalānāṃ nivāsāya śrīnivāsāya maṅgalam || 3 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Srinivasa, the dwelling of all auspicious things, whose feet are the very crowning ornament upon the peak of Venkata Hill. (3)
സര്വാവയവസൌന്ദര്യസമ്പദാ സര്വചേതസാമ് । സദാ സമ്മോഹനായാസ്തു വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൪ ॥
sarvāvayavasaundaryasampadā sarvacetasām | sadā sammohanāyāstu veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 4 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness ever be to Venkatesha, who, by the perfect beauty of His every limb, forever enchants the hearts of all. (4)
നിത്യായ നിരവദ്യായ സത്യാനന്ദചിദാത്മനേ । സര്വാന്തരാത്മനേ ശ്രീമദ്വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൫ ॥
nityāya niravadyāya satyānandacidātmane | sarvāntarātmane śrīmadveṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 5 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to the resplendent Venkatesha — the Eternal, the Flawless, the Self of truth-bliss-consciousness, the inner Self of all. (5)
സ്വതഃ സര്വവിദേ സര്വശക്തയേ സര്വശേഷിണേ । സുലഭായ സുശീലായ വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൬ ॥
svataḥ sarvavide sarvaśaktaye sarvaśeṣiṇe | sulabhāya suśīlāya veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 6 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha — self-luminously all-knowing, all-powerful, the Master of all, yet easily accessible and gentle of nature. (6)
പരസ്മൈ ബ്രഹ്മണേ പൂര്ണകാമായ പരമാത്മനേ । പ്രയുഞ്ജേ പരതത്ത്വായ വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൭ ॥
parasmai brahmaṇe pūrṇakāmāya paramātmane | prayuñje paratattvāya veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 7 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha — the Supreme Brahman, the ever-fulfilled, the Supreme Self; I worship Him as the Highest Truth. (7)
ആകാലതത്ത്വമശ്രാന്തമാത്മനാമനുപശ്യതാമ് । അതൃപ്ത്യമൃതരൂപായ വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൮ ॥
ākālatattvamaśrāntamātmanāmanupaśyatām | atṛptyamṛtarūpāya veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 8 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha, who is the inexhaustible nectar-form, ever fresh and never cloying to the yogis who behold Him through all time. (8)
പ്രായഃ സ്വചരണൌ പുംസാം ശരണ്യത്വേന പാണിനാ । കൃപയാഽഽദിശതേ ശ്രീമദ്വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൯ ॥
prāyaḥ svacaraṇau puṃsāṃ śaraṇyatvena pāṇinā | kṛpayā''diśate śrīmadveṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 9 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to the radiant Venkatesha, who with His hand graciously points to His own feet as the sure refuge of all souls. (9)
ദയാമൃതതരങ്ഗിണ്യാസ്തരങ്ഗൈരിവ ശീതലൈഃ । അപാങ്ഗൈഃ സിഞ്ചതേ വിശ്വം വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧൦ ॥
dayāmṛtataraṅgiṇyāstaraṅgairiva śītalaiḥ | apāṅgaiḥ siñcate viśvaṃ veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 10 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha, who bathes the whole universe with the cool waves of His glances, as if with ripples from the river of the nectar of mercy. (10)
സ്രഗ്ഭൂഷാമ്ബരഹേതീനാം സുഷമാവഹമൂര്തയേ । സര്വാര്തിശമനായാസ്തു വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧൧ ॥
sragbhūṣāmbarahetīnāṃ suṣamāvahamūrtaye | sarvārtiśamanāyāstu veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 11 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha, whose form radiates beauty through His garlands, ornaments, garments and weapons, and who stills every affliction. (11)
ശ്രീവൈകുണ്ഠവിരക്തായ സ്വാമിപുഷ്കരിണീതടേ । രമയാ രമമാണായ വേങ്കടേശായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧൨ ॥
śrīvaikuṇṭhaviraktāya svāmipuṣkariṇītaṭe | ramayā ramamāṇāya veṅkaṭeśāya maṅgalam || 12 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be to Venkatesha, who, detached even from Sri Vaikuntha, delights with Lakshmi on the banks of the Swami Pushkarini. (12)
ശ്രീമത്സുന്ദരജാമാതൃമുനിമാനസവാസിനേ । സര്വലോകനിവാസായ ശ്രീനിവാസായ മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧൩ ॥
śrīmatsundarajāmātṛmunimānasavāsine | sarvalokanivāsāya śrīnivāsāya maṅgalam || 13 ||
അർഥം:May all auspiciousness be to Srinivasa, who dwells in the heart of the sage Manavala Mamuni (Sundarajamatru), and who is the abode of all the worlds. (13)
മങ്ഗലാശാസനപരൈര്മദാചാര്യപുരോഗമൈഃ । സര്വൈശ്ച പൂര്വൈരാചാര്യൈഃ സത്കൃതായാസ്തു മങ്ഗലമ് ॥ ൧൪ ॥
maṅgalāśāsanaparairmadācāryapurogamaiḥ | sarvaiśca pūrvairācāryaiḥ satkṛtāyāstu maṅgalam || 14 ||
അർഥം:May auspiciousness be (to the Lord) honoured by our preceptors led by (Manavala Mamuni) and by all the earlier acharyas devoted to invoking blessings upon Him. (14)

Venkateswara Mangalasasanam പാരായണ വിധി
Mangalasasanam is sung at the end of worship, after the puja or aarti, as a benediction wishing the Lord well. Sit or stand facing an image of Venkateswara, fold your hands, and recite all fourteen verses melodiously, dwelling on the refrain 'Mangalam' at the end of each verse. It pairs beautifully after the Venkateswara Suprabhatam in the morning or after evening aarti.
