श्री काशी विश्वनाथ सुप्रभातम्

Verse 1
उत्तिष्ठ भैरवस्वामिन् काशिकापुरपालक।
श्रीविश्वनाथभक्तानां सम्पूरय मनोरथम्॥१॥
Uttiṣṭha bhairava-svāmin kāśikā-pura-pālaka।
Śrī-viśvanātha-bhaktānāṁ sampūraya manoratham॥1॥
Arise, O Lord Bhairava, guardian of the city of Kashi! Fulfil the heart's desires of the devotees of Sri Vishwanatha.
Verse 2
स्नानाय गाङ्गसलिलेऽथ समर्चनाय
विश्वेश्वरस्य बहुभक्तजना उपेताः।
श्रीकालभैरव लसन्ति भवन्निदेशं
उत्तिष्ठ दर्शय दशां तव सुप्रभातम्॥२॥
Snānāya gāṅga-salile'tha samarcanāya
Viśveśvarasya bahu-bhakta-janā upetāḥ।
Śrī-kāla-bhairava lasanti bhavan-nideśaṁ
Uttiṣṭha darśaya daśāṁ tava suprabhātam॥2॥
For bathing in the Ganga's waters and then for the worship of Vishweshwara, many devotees have gathered, awaiting your command, O revered Kala Bhairava. Arise and show your gracious presence — a blessed dawn to you!
Verse 3
यागव्रतादिबहुपुण्यवशं यथा त्वं
पापात्मनामपि तथा सुगतिप्रदाऽसि।
कारुण्यपूरमयि शैलसुतासपत्नि
मातर्भगीरथसुते तव सुप्रभातम्॥३॥
Yāga-vratādi-bahu-puṇya-vaśaṁ yathā tvaṁ
Pāpātmanām-api tathā su-gati-pradā'si।
Kāruṇya-pūra-mayi śaila-sutā-sapatni
Mātar-bhagīratha-sute tava suprabhātam॥3॥
Just as you bestow a good destiny upon those rich in the merit of sacrifices and vows, so too you grant it even to the sinful. O Mother filled with a flood of compassion, co-consort of the Mountain's Daughter, O daughter of Bhagiratha (Ganga) — a blessed dawn to you!
Verse 4
दुग्धप्रवाहकमनीयतरङ्गभङ्गे
पुण्यप्रवाहपरिपाथितभक्तसङ्घाः।
नित्यं तपस्विजनसेवितपादपद्मे
गङ्गे शरण्यशिवदे तव सुप्रभातम्॥४॥
Dugdha-pravāha-kamanīya-taraṅga-bhaṅge
Puṇya-pravāha-paripāthita-bhakta-saṅghāḥ।
Nityaṁ tapasvi-jana-sevita-pāda-padme
Gaṅge śaraṇya-śiva-de tava suprabhātam॥4॥
O Ganga, whose breaking waves are lovely as a stream of milk, who carry across the devotees gathered in the flow of merit, whose lotus-feet are ever served by ascetics, O refuge-giver and bestower of all good — a blessed dawn to you!
Verse 5
वाराणसीस्थितगजानन दुण्ठिराज
सम्प्रार्थितेष्टफलदानसमर्थमूर्ते।
उत्तिष्ठ विघ्नविरहाय भजामहे त्वां
श्रीपार्वतीतनय भोस्तव सुप्रभातम्॥५॥
Vārāṇasī-sthita-gajānana duṇṭhi-rāja
Samprārthiteṣṭa-phala-dāna-samartha-mūrte।
Uttiṣṭha vighna-virahāya bhajāmahe tvāṁ
Śrī-pārvatī-tanaya bhos-tava suprabhātam॥5॥
O elephant-faced Lord dwelling in Varanasi, King Dhundhiraja, whose form is able to grant the longed-for fruits that are prayed for — arise! We worship you for the removal of all obstacles, O son of Sri Parvati — a blessed dawn to you!
Verse 6
पूजास्पद प्रथममेव सुरेषु मध्ये
सम्पूरणे कुशल भक्तमनोरथानाम्।
गीर्वाणबृन्दपरिपूजितपादपद्म
सञ्जायतां गणपते तव सुप्रभातम्॥६॥
Pūjāspada prathamam-eva sureṣu madhye
Sampūraṇe kuśala bhakta-manorathānām।
Gīrvāṇa-bṛnda-paripūjita-pāda-padma
Sañjāyatāṁ gaṇapate tava suprabhātam॥6॥
O first and foremost object of worship among the gods, skilled in fulfilling the heart's desires of devotees, whose lotus-feet are worshipped by the assembly of celestials — may an auspicious dawn come to you, O Ganapati!
