Maha Ganapati is the fully-empowered Tantric form of Ganesha worshipped for total success and obstacle-removal. Begin with worship of Ganesha (a lamp, durva grass, modaka or red flowers are auspicious). Chant the mula-mantra 108 times with a mala, pronouncing each bija clearly. As a Tantric mantra it yields best results with initiation (diksha) and steady practice; for general devotion, sincere daily repetition before starting work invokes Ganesha's grace. Conclude by dedicating the merit to the Lord.

'Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha' is the simple, widely-used Ganesha mantra. The Maha Ganapati Mula Mantra is a fuller Tantric root-mantra that prefixes additional bijas (Shreem, Hreem, Kleem, Glaum) and adds the prayer 'vara varada sarvajanam me vashamanaya svaha', invoking prosperity, grace and universal goodwill along with obstacle-removal.

Shreem invokes Lakshmi (prosperity), Hreem invokes the Devi/Maya (energy and purity), Kleem is the seed of attraction and fulfilment, Glaum is Ganapati's grounding earth-bija, and Gam is Ganesha's own primary seed sound. Together they make the mantra comprehensive and potent.

For formal Tantric upasana and homa, initiation (diksha) from a qualified guru is traditionally recommended. However, devotees commonly chant it with reverence as a prayer to Ganesha before new ventures; sincerity and correct pronunciation are key.
