udyamena hi sidhyanti kāryāṇi na manorathaiḥ। na hi suptasya siṁhasya praviśanti mukhe mṛgāḥ॥
અર્થ:कार्य परिश्रम (उद्यम) से ही सिद्ध होते हैं, केवल मनोकामनाओं से नहीं; क्योंकि सोते हुए सिंह के मुख में मृग स्वयं प्रवेश नहीं करते। मनुष्य कितना भी बलवान क्यों न हो, सफलता उसी को मिलती है जो प्रयत्न और कर्म करता है।
