Bhagwan Vishwakarma is the divine architect and master-craftsman of the universe — builder of the celestial cities, the gods' weapons, chariots and palaces, and the very embodiment of creativity and engineering. On Vishwakarma Puja, craftsmen, engineers and workers across India worship their tools, machines and instruments and sing his aarti for skill and success.

✦ As told in scripture

It is told that Vishwakarma fashioned the golden Lanka, Indra's thunderbolt, the gods' flying chariots and the divine cities themselves. On his Puja day, factories and workshops fall silent as tools are garlanded and this aarti is sung for a year of safe, skilful and prosperous work.

Meaning:സമസ്ത വിശ്വത്തിന്റെയും സ്രഷ്ടാവും രക്ഷകനും സ്തുതിയുടെ സാക്ഷാത് ധർമ്മസ്വരൂപനുമായ ശ്രീ വിശ്വകർമ്മാവിന് ജയം.

ආදි සෘෂ්ටි මේං විධි කෝ ශ්රුති උපදේශ දියා . ජීවමාත්ර කා ජග මේං ජ්ඤාන විකාස කියා ..

Meaning:സൃഷ്ടിയുടെ ആരംഭത്തിൽ അങ്ങ് ബ്രഹ്മാവിന് വേദങ്ങളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം നൽകി; ലോകത്തിൽ ഓരോ ജീവിക്കും വിദ്യ വ്യാപിപ്പിച്ചു.

Meaning:അംഗിരസ് മഹർഷിക്ക് തന്റെ തപസ്സുകൊണ്ട് ശാന്തി ലഭിക്കാതിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, അദ്ദേഹം ഭഗവാനെ ധ്യാനിച്ചപ്പോൾ സമസ്ത സിദ്ധികളും ലഭിച്ചു.

Rogagrasta raja ne jaba ashraya lina Samkatamochana banakara dura duhkha kina

Meaning:രോഗബാധിതനായ രാജാവ് അങ്ങയുടെ ശരണം പ്രാപിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അങ്ങ് അവന്റെ കഷ്ടം നീക്കി അവന്റെ ദുഃഖം അകറ്റി.

ජබ රථකාර දම්පති තුම්හාරී ටේර කරී . සුනකර දීන ප්රාර්ථනා විපත සගරී හරී ..

Jaba rathakara dampati tumhari tera kari Sunakara dina prarthana vipata sagari hari

Meaning:രഥനിർമ്മാതാവും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയും അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവരുടെ വിനീതമായ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ട് അവരുടെ സകല വിപത്തും നീക്കി.

Meaning:ഏകമുഖം, ചതുർമുഖം, പഞ്ചമുഖങ്ങളാൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു; ഓരോ രൂപത്തിലും — മൂന്നു കൈകൾ, നാലു കൈകൾ, പത്തു കൈകളോടെ വിരാജിക്കുന്നു.

Meaning:അങ്ങയുടെ പാദങ്ങളെ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നവൻ സമസ്ത സിദ്ധിയും നേടുന്നു; മനസ്സിന്റെ സംശയം നീങ്ങി അചഞ്ചല ബലം ലഭിക്കുന്നു.

Light a lamp (ghee or camphor) and, holding it, perform the aarti by circling it before the deity while singing, ideally with a bell. Offer flowers and prasad, and conclude by taking the aarti blessing (passing the hands over the flame and to the eyes). Sing with devotion and a steady heart.
