The Shri Radha Kripa Kataksha Stava Raja is traditionally found in the Urdhvamnaya Tantra, where Lord Shiva — honoured as the topmost of Vaishnavas — reveals it to his consort Parvati while glorifying Shri Radha as the supreme energy and the very heart of Krishna. In glowing imagery the hymn praises Radha enthroned in the flowering bowers of Vrindavan, golden-hued like lightning and champaka, worshipped by sages and even by the goddess Lakshmi, who holds Krishna ever under the sway of Her loving glance. The recurring refrain turns each description into a humble plea: 'When will You make me, here in this very life, the object of Your merciful sidelong glance?' It has become the most cherished daily prayer to Radha in the land of Braj.

അർഥം:O Goddess seated in a bower-pavilion of ashoka vines, whose tender feet are reddish like fresh coral shoots, whose hands shine granting boons and fearlessness, O abode of abundant treasure — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?

അർഥം:O Goddess who, with the curving arch of Your auspicious, love-laden eyebrows, playfully and eagerly casts the arrows of the corners of Your eyes, forever holding the son of Nanda under Your sway — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?
തഡിത്സുവര്ണചമ്പകപ്രദീപ്തഗൌരവിഗ്രഹേ മുഖപ്രഭാപരാസ്തകോടിശാരദേന്ദുമണ്ഡലേ । വിചിത്രചിത്രസഞ്ചരച്ചകോരശാവലോചനേ കദാ കരിഷ്യസീഹ മാം കൃപാകടാക്ഷഭാജനമ് ॥ ൪॥

അർഥം:O Goddess adorned with steady diamond necklaces amid endless graceful gestures, whose breasts are lovely as golden pitchers, an ocean of bliss filled with the nectar of Your gentle, gracious smile — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?
മൃണാലവാലവല്ലരീതരങ്ഗരങ്ഗദോര്ലതേ ലതാഗ്രലാസ്യലോലനീലലോചനാവലോകനേ । ലലല്ലുലന്മിലന്മനോജ്ഞമുഗ്ധമോഹനാശ്രിതേ കദാ കരിഷ്യസീഹ മാം കൃപാകടാക്ഷഭാജനമ് ॥ ൭॥

അർഥം:O Goddess whose creeper-like arms move like waves of tender lotus-stalks, whose dancing dark eyes rove like the tips of swaying vines, the refuge of all that is charming, tender and enchanting — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?
സുവര്ണമാലികാഞ്ചിതത്രിരേഖകമ്ബുകണ്ഠഗേ ത്രിസൂത്രമങ്ഗലീഗുണത്രിരത്നദീപ്തിദീധിതി । സലോലനീലകുന്തലപ്രസൂനഗുച്ഛഗുമ്ഫിതേ കദാ കരിഷ്യസീഹ മാം കൃപാകടാക്ഷഭാജനമ് ॥ ൮॥
suvarṇa-mālikāñcita-tri-rekha-kambu-kaṇṭhage tri-sūtra-maṅgalī-guṇa-tri-ratna-dīpti-dīdhiti | sa-lola-nīla-kuntala-prasūna-guccha-gumphite kadā kariṣyasīha māṁ kṛpā-kaṭākṣa-bhājanam || 8||
അർഥം:O Goddess upon whose conch-like, three-lined throat rests a golden necklace, radiant with the three gems of the auspicious threefold thread, Your dark curling locks entwined with clusters of flowers — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?
നിതാമ്ബബിമ്ബലമ്ബമാനപുഷ്പമേഖലാഗുണേ പ്രശസ്തരത്നകിങ്കിണീകലാപമധ്യമഞ്ജുലേ । കരീന്ദ്രശുണ്ഡദണ്ഡികാവരോഹസൌഭഗോരുകേ കദാ കരിഷ്യസീഹ മാം കൃപാകടാക്ഷഭാജനമ് ॥ ൯॥
nitāmba-bimba-lambamāna-puṣpa-mekhalā-guṇe praśasta-ratna-kiṅkiṇī-kalāpa-madhya-mañjule | karīndra-śuṇḍa-daṇḍikā-varoha-saubhagoruke kadā kariṣyasīha māṁ kṛpā-kaṭākṣa-bhājanam || 9||
അർഥം:O Goddess upon whose hips hangs a girdle-string of flowers, lovely at the waist with a cluster of jewelled tinkling bells, whose graceful thighs taper as fair as the trunk of the king of elephants — when will You make me the recipient of Your merciful glance?

Bathe and sit before an image of Shri Radha or Radha-Krishna with a lamp and flowers. Recite the verses with feeling, dwelling on the meaning of each description of Radha and on the heartfelt refrain 'kada karishyasiha mam kripa-kataksha-bhajanam'. It may be sung in its traditional melody once daily, or more on special days. Many devotees in Vrindavan sing it as a group at dawn. Conclude by praying humbly for Radha's merciful glance and Her grace.
