युगे अठ्ठावीस (पांडुरंग आरती)

Verse 1
युगे अठ्ठावीस विटेवरी उभा ।
वामांगी रखुमाई दिसे दिव्य शोभा ॥
पुंडलिकाचे भेटी परब्रह्म आले गा ।
चरणीं वाहे भीमा उद्धरी जगा ॥ १ ॥

Vamangi Rakhumai Dise Divya Shobha ||
Pundalikache Bheti Parabrahma Aale Ga |
Charani Vahe Bhima Uddhari Jaga || 1 ||
For twenty-eight ages He has stood upon the brick, with Rakhumai (Rukmini) on His left, appearing in divine splendour. To meet His devotee Pundalik the Supreme Brahman Himself has come; at His feet flows the Bhima (Chandrabhaga), and He redeems the world.
Verse 2
जय देव जय देव जय पांडुरंगा ।
रखुमाईवल्लभा राईच्या वल्लभा पावे जिवलगा ॥ धृ ॥
Jai Dev Jai Dev Jai Panduranga |
Rakhumai-Vallabha Raichya Vallabha Pave Jivalaga || Dhru ||
Victory to You, O Panduranga! O beloved of Rakhumai, beloved of Rai, be gracious to me, dearest of my life.
Verse 3
तुळसीमाळा गळां कर ठेवुनी कटीं ।
कांसे पीतांबर कस्तुरी लल्लाटीं ॥
देव सुरवर नित्य येती भेटी ।
गरुड हनुमंत पुढें उभे राहती ॥ २ ॥
Tulasi-Mala Gala Kar Thevuni Kati |
Kanse Pitambar Kasturi Lallati ||
Dev Suravar Nitya Yeti Bheti |
Garud Hanumant Pudhe Ubhe Rahati || 2 ||
A tulsi garland about His neck, hands resting on His waist, yellow silk at His waist and musk upon His brow; gods and celestials come daily for His darshan, and Garuda and Hanuman stand before Him in attendance.
Verse 4
धन्य वेणुनाद अनुक्षेत्रपाळा ।
सुवर्णाची कमळें वनमाळा गळां ॥
राई रखुमाबाई राणीया सकळा ।
ओवाळिती राजा विठोबा सावळा ॥ ३ ॥
Dhanya Venunad Anukshetra-Pala |
Suvarnachi Kamale Vanamala Gala ||
Rai Rakhumabai Raniya Sakala |
Ovaliti Raja Vithoba Savala || 3 ||
Blessed is the sound of His flute, guardian of the holy field; lotuses of gold and a forest-garland adorn His neck. Rai, Rakhumabai and all the queens wave the lamp before the dark-hued King Vithoba.
Verse 5
ओवाळूं आरत्या कुरवंड्या येती ।
चंद्रभागेमाजी सोडुनिया देती ॥
दिंड्या पताका वैष्णव नाचती ।
पंढरीचा महिमा वर्णावा किती ॥ ४ ॥
Ovalu Aratya Kuravandya Yeti |
Chandrabhage-Maji Soduniya Deti ||
Dindya Pataka Vaishnav Nachati |
Pandharicha Mahima Varnava Kiti || 4 ||
We wave the aartis; the kuravandi (auspicious offerings) are brought and released into the Chandrabhaga. With dindis and banners the Vaishnavas dance — how can the glory of Pandhari ever be told in full?
Verse 6
आषाढी कार्तिकी भक्तजन येती ।
चंद्रभागेमध्ये स्नानें जे करिती ॥
दर्शनहेळामात्रें तया होय मुक्ती ।
केशवासी नामदेव भावें ओवाळिती ॥ ५ ॥
Aashadhi Kartiki Bhaktajan Yeti |
Chandrabhage-Madhye Snane Je Kariti ||
Darshana-Hela-Matre Taya Hoy Mukti |
Keshavasi Namdev Bhave Ovaliti || 5 ||
On the Ashadhi and Kartiki (Ekadashis) the devotees come and bathe in the Chandrabhaga; by a mere instant of His darshan they attain liberation. Namdev waves the lamp before Keshava with heartfelt devotion.
