The aarti references Hanuman's descent into Paataal (the underworld) to rescue Ram and Lakshman from the demon Ahiravan. અર્થ:By whose strength great mountains tremble. Diseases and defects dare not come near him.
અંજનિ પુત્ર મહા બલદાઈ। સંતન કે પ્રભુ સદા સહાઈ॥
Anjani Putra Maha Baldaai Santan Ke Prabhu Sada Sahaai
અર્થ:Son of Anjani, great bestower of strength. Always the helper of saints and devotees.
દે બીરા રઘુનાથ પઠાએ। લંકા જારિ સિયા સુધિ લાએ॥
De Bira Raghunath Pathaaye Lanka Jaari Siya Sudhi Laaye
અર્થ:The brave one, sent by Lord Raghunath, burned Lanka and brought news of Sita.
લંકા સો કોટ સમુદ્ર સી ખાઈ। જાત પવનસુત બાર ન લાઈ॥
Lanka So Kot Samudra Si Khaai Jaat Pavansut Baar Na Laai
અર્થ:Lanka's fort with an ocean-like moat — the son of Wind crossed it in an instant.
લંકા જારિ અસુર સંહારે। સિયારામજી કે કાજ સંવારે॥
Lanka Jaari Asur Sanhaare SiyaRamji Ke Kaaj Sanvaare
અર્થ:He burned Lanka and destroyed the demons. He accomplished all the tasks of Sita and Ram.
લક્ષ્મણ મૂર્છિત પડ़ે સકારે। આણિ સંજીવન પ્રાણ ઉબારે॥
Lakshman Murchhit Pade Sakaare Aani Sanjeevan Praan Ubaare
અર્થ:When Lakshman lay unconscious at dawn, he brought the Sanjeevani herb and saved his life.
પૈઠી પાતાલ તોરિ જમ કારે। અહિરાવણ કી ભુજા ઉખારે॥
Paithi Paataal Tori Jam Kaare Ahiravan Ki Bhuja Ukhaare
અર્થ:He entered the underworld and broke the chains of death. He tore off Ahiravan's arms.
બાએં ભુજા અસુર દલ મારે। દાહિને ભુજા સંતજન તારે॥
Baayein Bhuja Asur Dal Maare Daahinein Bhuja Santjan Taare
અર્થ:With the left arm he slays armies of demons. With the right arm he saves the saints.
સુર નર મુનિ જન આરતી ઉતારેં। જય જય જય હનુમાન ઉચારેં॥
Sur Nar Muni Jan Aarti Utaarein Jai Jai Jai Hanuman Uchaarein
અર્થ:Gods, humans and sages perform his aarti. All chant: Victory, Victory, Victory to Hanuman!
કંચન થાર કપૂર લૌ છાઈ। આરતી કરત અંજના માઈ॥

અર્થ:On a golden plate, the glow of camphor spreads. Mother Anjana performs the aarti.
જો હનુમાનજી કી આરતી ગાવે। બસિ બૈકુંઠ પરમ પદ પાવે॥
Jo Hanumanji Ki Aarti Gaave Basi Baikunth Param Pad Paave
અર્થ:Whoever sings this aarti of Hanuman-ji shall reside in Vaikuntha and attain the supreme state.

Hanuman Aarti જપ વિધિ
Light a diya (oil lamp) or camphor on a golden or steel plate. Stand or sit before a Hanuman idol or image. Sing the aarti while gently waving the lit plate in a clockwise circular motion before the deity. Ring a bell with the other hand. At the end, share the aarti flame with all present — each person waving their hands over the flame and touching their forehead.
