The Trailokya Mangala Kavacham is a protective armour of Lord Krishna belonging to the Pancharatra Agama tradition, framed as a dialogue between Sage Narada and Sanatkumara. According to tradition, the armour was first revealed by Lord Vishnu, passed down through Brahma and Shiva to Sage Durvasa, who imparted it in the household of Nanda and Yashoda, where it was used to protect the infant Krishna from demons such as Putana. By the power of this same Kavacha, Krishna is said to have become the master of the three worlds — hence its name, Trailokya-mangala.

It is traditionally told that this very armour shielded the infant Krishna in Gokula from the demoness Putana and the many asuras sent by Kamsa — and that to this day a devotee who wears it with faith remains untouched by danger, calamity or evil, wrapped in the same grace that guarded the divine child of Vrindavana.

అర్థం:श्रीनारद बोले— हे भगवन्, देवदेवेश, सर्वज्ञ, करुणानिधे; हे प्रभो, मुझे 'त्रैलोक्यमङ्गल' नामक कवच कहिए।
శ్రీసనత్కుమార ఉవాచ — శృణు వక్ష్యామి విప్రేన్ద్ర కవచం పరమాద్భుతమ్। యద్ధృత్వా భగవాన్కృష్ణో బభూవ త్రిజగత్ప్రభుః॥
Shri Sanatkumara Uvacha — Shrinu Vakshyami Viprendra Kavacham Paramadbhutam Yad Dhritva Bhagavan Krishno Babhuva Trijagat Prabhuh
అర్థం:श्रीसनत्कुमार बोले— हे विप्रेन्द्र, सुनो; मैं वह परम अद्भुत कवच कहता हूँ जिसे धारण कर भगवान् कृष्ण तीनों लोकों के स्वामी हुए।
ఓం అస్య శ్రీత్రైలోక్యమఙ్గలకవచస్య నారాయణ ఋషిః। అనుష్టుప్ ఛన్దః। శ్రీకృష్ణో దేవతా। శ్రీకృష్ణప్రీత్యర్థే జపే వినియోగః॥

అర్థం:ॐ। इस श्रीत्रैलोक्यमङ्गल-कवच के ऋषि नारायण हैं, छन्द अनुष्टुप् है, देवता श्रीकृष्ण हैं; श्रीकृष्ण की प्रसन्नता हेतु जप में इसका विनियोग है।
ప్రణవో మే శిరః పాతు ఫాలం పాతు యశోదుహః। నేత్రయుగ్మం సదా పాతు క్లీం కృష్ణః కమలేక్షణః॥
Pranavo Me Shirah Patu Phalam Patu Yashoduhah Netrayugmam Sada Patu Klim Krishnah Kamalekshanah
అర్థం:प्रणव (ॐ) मेरे सिर की रक्षा करे, यशोदानन्दन ललाट की; 'क्लीं कृष्ण' कमलनयन सदा मेरे दोनों नेत्रों की रक्षा करे।
శ్రోత్రయుగ్మం సదా పాతు క్లీమిత్యేవాక్షరం మమ। ఘ్రాణం పాతు సదా క్లీం శ్రీగోవిన్దః కమలాపతిః॥

అర్థం:'क्लीं' अक्षर सदा मेरे दोनों कानों की रक्षा करे; 'क्लीं श्रीगोविन्द' कमलापति सदा नासिका की रक्षा करे।
జిహ్వాం మే పాతు గోవిన్దో వదనం మధుసూదనః। కణ్ఠం పాతు సదా కృష్ణః స్కన్ధౌ పాతు గదాగ్రజః॥
Jihvam Me Patu Govindo Vadanam Madhusudanah Kantham Patu Sada Krishnah Skandhau Patu Gadagrajah
అర్థం:गोविन्द मेरी जिह्वा की और मधुसूदन मुख की रक्षा करे; कृष्ण सदा कण्ठ की और गदाग्रज कन्धों की रक्षा करे।
భుజౌ మే పాతు సర్వేశో హస్తౌ పాతు గదాధరః। వక్షఃస్థలం సదా పాతు క్లీం కృష్ణః క్లీం హరిః స్వయమ్॥
Bhujau Me Patu Sarvesho Hastau Patu Gadadharah Vakshahsthalam Sada Patu Klim Krishnah Klim Harih Svayam
అర్థం:सर्वेश मेरी भुजाओं की और गदाधर हाथों की रक्षा करे; 'क्लीं कृष्ण, क्लीं हरि' स्वयं सदा मेरे वक्षःस्थल की रक्षा करे।
హృదయం పాతు గోపాలః కుక్షియుగ్మం సదావతు। నాభిం చ పద్మనాభో మే కటిం పాతు గదాగ్రజః॥

అర్థం:गोपाल हृदय की और सदा दोनों कुक्षियों की रक्षा करे; पद्मनाभ मेरी नाभि की और गदाग्रज कटि की रक्षा करे।
ఊరూ మే పాతు గోవిన్దో జానునీ మధుసూదనః। జఙ్ఘే పాతు జగన్నాథః పాదౌ గోపీజనప్రియః॥
Uru Me Patu Govindo Januni Madhusudanah Janghe Patu Jagannathah Padau Gopijanapriyah
అర్థం:गोविन्द मेरे ऊरुओं की और मधुसूदन घुटनों की रक्षा करे; जगन्नाथ जंघाओं की और गोपीजनप्रिय चरणों की रक्षा करे।
సర్వాఙ్గం పాతు మే కృష్ణో గోపీజనమనోహరః। ఓం నమో భగవతే వాసుదేవాయ సర్వతోఽవతు॥
Sarvangam Patu Me Krishno Gopijana Manoharah Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Sarvato Avatu
అర్థం:गोपीजनमनोहर कृष्ण मेरे समस्त अंगों की रक्षा करे; 'ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय' सब ओर से रक्षा करे।
ప్రాచ్యాం పాతు హృషీకేశో దక్షిణే మధుసూదనః। ప్రతీచ్యాం పుణ్డరీకాక్షః ఉదీచ్యాం వామనః సదా॥
Prachyam Patu Hrishikesho Dakshine Madhusudanah Pratichyam Pundarikakshah Udichyam Vamanah Sada
అర్థం:पूर्व में हृषीकेश, दक्षिण में मधुसूदन, पश्चिम में पुण्डरीकाक्ष और उत्तर में सदा वामन रक्षा करे।
ఇతి తే కథితం విప్ర కవచం పరమాద్భుతమ్। యో ధారయేద్భక్తియుక్తో ముచ్యతే సర్వసంకటాత్॥
Iti Te Kathitam Vipra Kavacham Paramadbhutam Yo Dharayed Bhakti Yukto Muchyate Sarva Sankatat
అర్థం:इस प्रकार हे विप्र, मैंने तुम्हें यह परम अद्भुत कवच कहा। जो भक्तियुक्त होकर इसे धारण करता है, वह समस्त संकटों से मुक्त हो जाता है।
త్రికాలం యః పఠేన్నిత్యం శ్రద్ధయా చ సమన్వితః। సర్వాన్కామానవాప్నోతి కృష్ణసాయుజ్యమాప్నుయాత్॥
Trikalam Yah Pathen Nityam Shraddhaya Cha Samanvitah Sarvan Kamanavapnoti Krishna Sayujyam Apnuyat
అర్థం:जो श्रद्धायुक्त होकर नित्य त्रिकाल में इसका पाठ करता है, वह समस्त कामनाओं को प्राप्त करता है और कृष्ण-सायुज्य (कृष्ण के साथ एकत्व) को पाता है।

Fulfils all righteous desires of the sincere, faithful devotee
Leads ultimately to Krishna-sayujya — union and oneness with the Lord

त्रैलोक्यमङ्गल कृष्ण कवचम् పారాయణ విధి
After bathing, sit facing east or north in a clean place before an image of Lord Krishna. Light a lamp and offer tulsi leaves and flowers. Recite the Viniyoga, then chant the Kavacham with devotion, mentally placing the Pranava, the Klim bija and each name of Krishna upon the corresponding part of the body and the four directions. For the full traditional fruit, recite it thrice daily (Trikala) with faith. Conclude by surrendering to Krishna and praying for his protection and grace.
