Traditional Rama Pattabhisheka / dhyana shloka recited before Rama worship and Ramayana parayana · Traditional · Classical / Medieval
This dhyana verse celebrates the Pattabhisheka — the coronation court of Sri Rama after His return to Ayodhya. It is among the most beloved invocatory shlokas recited before reading the Ramayana, especially the Sundara Kanda. The depiction of Hanuman reciting before the enthroned Lord, surrounded by Bharata and the brothers, captures the ideal of Rama Rajya and is dear to devotees who meditate on the divine court of Sita-Rama.
✦ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ କୁହାଯାଇଥିବା ପରି
Devotees of the Sundara Kanda parayana tradition hold that beginning with this dhyana of the Rama-darbar invites the very presence of Hanuman into the recitation, for it is said that wherever Rama's glory is sung, Hanuman is present with folded hands and tear-filled eyes.

ଅର୍ଥ:I worship that dark-hued Sri Rama who, seated together with Sita beneath the celestial wish-tree, within a great golden pavilion, upon the jewelled seat of the Pushpaka in the heroic posture, expounds the supreme truth to the assembled sages while Hanuman, the son of the Wind-god, recites before Him, and who is surrounded by Bharata and His other brothers and devotees.

Vaidehi Sahitam (Rama Pattabhisheka Dhyana) ପାଠ ବିଧି
Recite this dhyana verse with folded hands while visualising the Rama-darbar exactly as described — Sita beside Rama in the golden pavilion, Hanuman reading at His feet, Bharata and the brothers in attendance. Use it as the opening meditation before Rama worship, Ramayana parayana, or Sundara Kanda paaraayanam. Chanting it three times helps the scene arise clearly in the mind before the main recitation.
