Shri Banke Bihari Ji is the enchanting tribhanga form of Lord Krishna, revealed at Vrindavan by the great saint-musician Swami Haridas — so captivating that the temple keeps a curtain drawn before the deity, lest the gaze of Bihari overwhelm the devotee. This aarti, dwelling on his peacock-crown and flute, is sung at the close of his worship.
✦ શાસ્ત્રોમાં કહ્યા પ્રમાણે
So enchanting is the darshan of Banke Bihari that the temple curtain is drawn every few moments — for it is said a continuous gaze upon Bihari can draw the soul out of the body in love. Devotees throng Vrindavan to sing this aarti and behold, even for an instant, that flute-playing form.

હે ગિરિધર તેરી આરતી ગાઊં, પ્યારે આપકો રિઝાઊં । શ્યામ સુન્દર તેરી આરતી ગાઊં, શ્રી બાંકે બિહારી તેરી આરતી ગાઊં ॥
He giridhara teri arati gaun, pyare apako rijhaun Shyama sundara teri arati gaun, shri banke bihari teri arati gaun
અર્થ:O Giridhar, I sing your aarti and delight you, my beloved; O beautiful dark-hued one, I sing your aarti — O Shri Banke Bihari, I sing your aarti.
મોર મુકુટ પ્યારે શીશ પે સોહે, પ્યારી બંસી મેરો મન મોહે । દેખ છવિ બલિહારી મૈં જાઊં ॥
Mora mukuta pyare shisha pe sohe, pyari bamsi mero mana mohe Dekha chhavi balihari maim jaun
અર્થ:The peacock-crown graces your dear head and your sweet flute enchants my mind; beholding your beauty, I give myself wholly to you.
ચરણોં સે નિકલી ગંગા પ્યારી, જિસને સારી દુનિયા તારી । મૈં ઉન ચરણોં કે દર્શન પાઊં ॥
Charanom se nikali gamga pyari, jisane sari duniya tari Maim una charanom ke darshana paun
અર્થ:From your feet flowed the beloved Ganga that delivered the whole world; may I gain the darshan of those feet.
દાસ અનાથ કે નાથ આપ હો, દુઃખ-સુખ જીવન પ્યારે સાથ આપ હો । હરિ ચરણોં મેં શીશ ઝુકાઊં ॥
Dasa anatha ke natha apa ho, duhkha-sukha jivana pyare satha apa ho Hari charanom mem shisha jhukaun
અર્થ:You are the Lord of the orphaned servant; in sorrow and joy you are the dear companion of life; at Hari's feet I bow my head.
શ્રી હરિદાસ કે પ્યારે તુમ હો, મેરે મોહન જીવનધન હો । દેખ યુગલ છવિ બલિ-બલિ જાઊં ॥
Shri haridasa ke pyare tuma ho, mere mohana jivanadhana ho Dekha yugala chhavi bali-bali jaun
અર્થ:You are the beloved of Shri Haridas; you are my Mohan, the very treasure of my life; beholding the divine pair (Radha-Krishna), I offer myself again and again.

Sung to Shri Banke Bihari Ji, the enchanting form of Lord Krishna enshrined at Vrindavan, revealed by the saint Swami Haridas.

Especially sung at Vrindavan, on Janmashtami and during the celebrations of the Banke Bihari temple.

श्री बाँके बिहारी आरती જપ વિધિ
Light a lamp before an image of Banke Bihari (Krishna) and perform the aarti by circling it while singing, with a bell. Offer flowers, tulsi and bhog (especially butter and sweets), and conclude by taking the aarti blessing. Sing with love, dwelling on the enchanting tribhanga form with the flute and peacock-crown.
