The Manyu Suktam is found as the 83rd and 84th hymns of the tenth Mandala of the Rig Veda, revealed by the rishi Manyu Tapasa with Manyu as the deity. Manyu is the personification of fierce ardour and divine wrath — not blind rage, but the righteous, controlled intensity of power that destroys obstacles and evil. The hymn boldly equates Manyu with Indra, Varuna, Agni and all the gods, and the seeker prays to wield this inner fire as an ally in the battle of life. Across traditions it has been recited as an invocation of overwhelming protective power, associated variously with Shakti, Shiva, Narasimha and Hanuman.

Manyu Suktam is traditionally held to be a 'shakti' hymn of such force that its sincere recitation strengthens ritual acts (karmas), grants victory and dissolves fear in the hearts of one's adversaries — the closing mantra itself declares that defeated enemies, gripped by fear, will slink away utterly vanquished. Vedic tradition recommends it for those who must face powerful opposition, for it is said to clothe the chanter in the very might of Indra.

yaste manyo'vidhadvajra sāyaka saha ojaḥ puṣyati viśvamānuṣak; sāhyāma dāsamāryaṃ tvayā yujā sahaskṛtena sahasā sahasvatā.
অর্থ:O Manyu, wielder of the thunderbolt and arrow, he who worships you gains strength and vigour surpassing all men. With you as our ally and through overpowering, abundant might, may we overcome both the un-noble foe and the rival.
মন্যুরিন্দ্রো মন্যুরেবাস দেবো মন্যুর্হোতা বরুণো জাতবেদাঃ। মন্যুং বিশ ঈল়তে মানুষীর্যাঃ পাহি নো মন্যো তপসা সজোষাঃ॥
manyurindro manyurevāsa devo manyurhotā varuṇo jātavedāḥ; manyuṃ viśa īḷate mānuṣīryāḥ pāhi no manyo tapasā sajoṣāḥ.
অর্থ:Manyu is Indra, Manyu is verily every god; Manyu is the priest (Hota), Varuna, and Jatavedas (Agni). The tribes of men adore Manyu — O Manyu, well-pleased, protect us together with your ardour (tapas).
অভীহি মন্যো তবসস্তবীযান্তপসা যুজা বি জহি শত্রূন্। অমিত্রহা বৃত্রহা দস্যুহা চ বিশ্বা বসূন্যা ভরা ত্বং নঃ॥
abhīhi manyo tavasastavīyāntapasā yujā vi jahi śatrūn; amitrahā vṛtrahā dasyuhā ca viśvā vasūnyā bharā tvaṃ naḥ.
অর্থ:Advance, O Manyu, mightier than the mighty; with tapas as your ally, utterly slay the enemies. Slayer of foes, of Vritra and of the Dasyus, bring to us all good things and wealth.
ত্বং হি মন্যো অভিভূত্যোজাঃ স্বযম্ভূর্ভামো অভিমাতিষাহঃ। বিশ্বচর্ষণিঃ সহুরিঃ সহাবানস্মাস্বোজঃ পৃতনাসু ধেহি॥
tvaṃ hi manyo abhibhūtyojāḥ svayambhūrbhāmo abhimātiṣāhaḥ; viśvacarṣaṇiḥ sahuriḥ sahāvānasmāsvojaḥ pṛtanāsu dhehi.
অর্থ:For you, O Manyu, are of overpowering strength, self-existent, full of wrath, subduer of assailants; all-seeing, victorious and mighty — grant us vigour in the battles.
অভাগঃ সন্নপ পরেতো অস্মি তব ক্রত্বা তবিষস্য প্রচেতঃ। তং ত্বা মন্যো অক্রতুর্জিহীল়াহং স্বা তনূর্বলদেযায মেহি॥
abhāgaḥ sannapa pareto asmi tava kratvā taviṣasya pracetaḥ; taṃ tvā manyo akraturjihīḷāhaṃ svā tanūrbaladeyāya mehi.
অর্থ:Unportioned and forsaken I was; by your will, O wise and powerful one, let it be otherwise. O Manyu, though I have angered you through want of intelligence, come to me, your own, to grant me strength.
অযং তে অস্ম্যুপ মেহ্যর্বাঙ্প্রতীচীনঃ সহুরে বিশ্বধাযঃ। মন্যো বজ্রিন্নভি মামা ববৃত্স্ব হনাব দস্যূংরুত বোধ্যাপেঃ॥
ayaṃ te asmyupa mehyarvāṅpratīcīnaḥ sahure viśvadhāyaḥ; manyo vajrinnabhi māmā vavṛtsva hanāva dasyūm̐ruta bodhyāpeḥ.
অর্থ:Here I am for you; come towards me, turning forward, O conquering all-sustainer. O Manyu, wielder of the bolt, turn to me; let us together slay the Dasyus; and remember your friend.
অভি প্রেহি দক্ষিণতো ভবা মেঽধা বৃত্রাণি জঙ্ঘনাব ভূরি। জুহোমি তে ধরুণং মধ্বো অগ্রমুভা উপাংশু প্রথমা পিবাব॥
abhi prehi dakṣiṇato bhavā me'dhā vṛtrāṇi jaṅghanāva bhūri; juhomi te dharuṇaṃ madhvo agramubhā upāṃśu prathamā pibāva.
অর্থ:March forth, be on my right hand, and then together let us slay the many resisters. I offer to you the choicest, sustaining sweetness (Soma); let us both first drink it in silence.
ত্বযা মন্যো সরথমারুজন্তো হর্ষমাণাসো ধৃষিতা মরুত্বঃ। তিগ্মেষব আযুধা সংশিশানা অভি প্র যন্তু নরো অগ্নিরূপাঃ॥
tvayā manyo sarathamārujanto harṣamāṇāso dhṛṣitā marutvaḥ; tigmeṣava āyudhā saṃśiśānā abhi pra yantu naro agnirūpāḥ.
অর্থ:Mounting the same chariot with you, O Manyu, exulting, daring and attended by the Maruts, let the heroes — with sharp arrows, whetting their weapons, in the form of fire — advance.
অগ্নিরিব মন্যো ত্বিষিতঃ সহস্ব সেনানীর্নঃ সহুরে হূত এধি। হত্বায শত্রূন্বি ভজস্ব বেদ ওজো মিমানো বি মৃধো নুদস্ব॥
agniriva manyo tviṣitaḥ sahasva senānīrnaḥ sahure hūta edhi; hatvāya śatrūnvi bhajasva veda ojo mimāno vi mṛdho nudasva.
অর্থ:Like fire, blazing forth, O Manyu, prevail; being invoked, O conqueror, become our commander. Having slain the foes, apportion their wealth; measuring out your strength, drive away the scorners.
সহস্ব মন্যো অভিমাতিমস্মে রুজন্মৃণন্প্রমৃণন্প্রেহি শত্রূন্। উগ্রং তে পাজো নন্বা রুরুধ্রে বশী বশং নযস একজ ত্বম্॥
sahasva manyo abhimātimasme rujanmṛṇanpramṛṇanprehi śatrūn; ugraṃ te pājo nanvā rurudhre vaśī vaśaṃ nayasa ekaja tvam.
অর্থ:Prevail, O Manyu, over our assailants; crushing, smiting and destroying, advance upon the enemies. Truly none has withstood your fierce might; you, the sole-born, lead them into submission as their master.
একো বহূনামসি মন্যবীল়িতো বিশংবিশং যুধযে সং শিশাধি। অকৃত্তরুক্ত্বযা যুজা বযং দ্যুমন্তং ঘোষং বিজযায কৃণ্মহে॥
eko bahūnāmasi manyavīḷito viśaṃviśaṃ yudhaye saṃ śiśādhi; akṛttaruktvayā yujā vayaṃ dyumantaṃ ghoṣaṃ vijayāya kṛṇmahe.
অর্থ:You alone are the lord of many; whetting (us) for battle clan by clan, with you as our flawless ally we raise the resounding shout for victory.
বিজেষকৃদিন্দ্র ইবানবব্রবোঽস্মাকং মন্যো অধিপা ভবেহ। প্রিযং তে নাম সহুরে গৃণীমসি বিদ্মা তমুত্সং যত আবভূথ॥
vijeṣakṛdindra ivānavabravo'smākaṃ manyo adhipā bhaveha; priyaṃ te nāma sahure gṛṇīmasi vidmā tamutsaṃ yata ābabhūtha.
অর্থ:Bringing victory like Indra, beyond reproach, O Manyu, be here our sovereign protector. We hymn your dear name, O conqueror; we know the source from which you have arisen.
আভূত্যা সহজা বজ্র সাযক সহো বিভর্ষ্যভিভূত উত্তরম্। ক্রত্বা নো মন্যো সহ মেদ্যেধি মহাধনস্য পুরুহূত সংসৃজি॥
ābhūtyā sahajā vajra sāyaka saho bibharṣyabhibhūta uttaram; kratvā no manyo saha medyedhi mahādhanasya puruhūta saṃsṛji.
অর্থ:Born together with might, O wielder of the bolt and arrow, you bear, unconquered, supreme power. O Manyu, much-invoked, be of one accord with us by your resolve in (gaining) great wealth.
সংসৃষ্টং ধনমুভযং সমাকৃতমস্মভ্যং দত্তাং বরুণশ্চ মন্যুঃ। ভিযং দধানা হৃদযেষু শত্রবঃ পরাজিতাসো অপ নি লযন্তাম্॥
saṃsṛṣṭaṃ dhanamubhayaṃ samākṛtamasmabhyaṃ dattāṃ varuṇaśca manyuḥ; bhiyaṃ dadhānā hṛdayeṣu śatravaḥ parājitāso apa ni layantām.
অর্থ:May both Varuna and Manyu grant us the assembled, gathered wealth of both kinds; and may the enemies, defeated and bearing fear in their hearts, slink away utterly vanquished. Om, peace, peace, peace.

Manyu Suktam পাঠের নিয়ম
Bathe and sit facing east or north with a steady, resolute mind. Chant the fourteen mantras of Rig Veda 10.83-84 with firm, clear articulation, feeling Manyu as the righteous power and courage rising within. It is best learned and chanted with proper Vedic intonation (svara) under guidance. Recite it before undertaking difficult tasks, facing adversaries, or when needing to overcome fear and self-doubt, and close with the threefold Shanti.
