This beloved aarti pictures the Goddess as both the fierce, lion-riding, ten-armed slayer of demons and the infinitely tender mother. ಅರ್ಥ:तू अम्बा है, जगत की माता जगदम्बा, काली; खप्पर धारण करने वाली दुर्गा की जय। भारती तेरे गुण गाते हैं — हे मैया, हम सब तेरी आरती उतारते हैं।
ತೇರೇ ಭಕ್ತ ಜನೋಂ ಪರ ಮಾತಾ, ಭೀರ ಪಡ़ೀ ಹೈ ಭಾರೀ। ದಾನವ ದಲ ಪರ ಟೂಟ ಪಡ़ೋ ಮಾಂ, ಕರಕೇ ಸಿಂಹ ಸವಾರೀ॥

ಅರ್ಥ:हे माता, तेरे भक्तों पर भारी विपत्ति आ पड़ी है; सिंह पर सवार होकर दानवों के दल पर टूट पड़ो। सौ-सौ सिंहों से बलशाली, दस भुजाओं वाली, दुखियों के दुख दूर करने वाली — हे मैया, हम तेरी आरती उतारते हैं।
ಸೌ-ಸೌ ಸಿಂಹೋಂ ಸೇ ತೂ ಬಲಶಾಲೀ, ಹೈ ದಸ ಭುಜಾಓಂ ವಾಲೀ। ದುಖಿಯೋಂ ಕೇ ದುಖಡ़ೇ ನಿವಾರತೀ, ಓ ಮೈಯಾ ಹಮ ಸಬ ಉತಾರೇಂ ತೇರೀ ಆರತೀ॥

ಅರ್ಥ:इस जगत में माँ-बेटे का नाता सबसे निर्मल है; कुपूत तो सुने हैं पर कुमाता कभी नहीं। सब पर करुणा करने वाली, अमृत बरसाने वाली — हे मैया, हम तेरी आरती उतारते हैं।
ಮಾಂ ಬೇಟೇ ಕಾ ಹೈ ಇಸ ಜಗ ಮೇಂ, ಬಡ़ಾ ಹೀ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ನಾತಾ। ಪೂತ ಕಪೂತ ಸುನೇ ಹೈಂ ಪರ ಮಾಂ, ನಾ ಸುನೀ ಕುಮಾತಾ॥

ಸಬ ಪರ ಕರುಣಾ ದರಸಾನೇ ವಾಲೀ, ಅಮೃತ ಬರಸಾನೇ ವಾಲೀ। ದುಖಿಯೋಂ ಕೇ ದುಖಡ़ೇ ನಿವಾರತೀ, ಓ ಮೈಯಾ ಹಮ ಸಬ ಉತಾರೇಂ ತೇರೀ ಆರತೀ॥
