अदिवो अल्लदिवो श्री हरि वासमु पदिवेल शेषुल पडगल मयमु ॥

Meaningवही है वेंकटाचल — सबसे उन्नत, ऐसा अद्भुत पर्वत कि ब्रह्मा आदि देवताओं के लिए भी अनुपम है। वह समस्त मुनियों का नित्य निवास है; उसे देखो, उसे प्रणाम करो — वह आनंदमय है। वह रहा श्री हरि का निवास, शेष के दस हज़ार फणों से दीप्त।

चॆङ्गट नल्लदिवो शेषाचलमू निङ्गि नुन्न देवतल निजवासमु । मुङ्गिट नल्लदिवो मूलनुन्न धनमु बङ्गारु शिखराल बहु ब्रह्ममयमु ॥ अदिवो अल्लदिवो श्री हरि वासमु पदिवेल शेषुल पडगल मयमु ॥

Meaningपास ही — वह देखो! — शेषाचल खड़ा है, स्वर्ग के देवताओं का सच्चा घर। आँगन के ठीक सामने आदि-मूल का धन छिपा है: सुनहरे शिखरोंवाला यह पर्वत पूर्ण रूप से ब्रह्ममय है। वह रहा श्री हरि का निवास।

Period: 1408-1503 CE

Annamayya left home as a boy of sixteen, drawn irresistibly to Tirumala. Climbing the rocky footpath, he beheld the sacred hill rising before him and burst into song — 'Adivo alladivo!' ('There it is — over there!'). The sankirtana preserves that first ecstatic darshan: the hill of Sesha's ten thousand hoods, the home of sages, the golden-peaked treasure, the seat of liberation. His songs, engraved on copper plates, were rediscovered centuries later in a vault of the Tirumala temple.
