अर्थ:विद्या को क्षण-क्षण और धन को कण-कण करके अर्जित करना चाहिए; क्योंकि यदि क्षण व्यर्थ गया तो विद्या कहाँ से, और यदि कण व्यर्थ गया तो धन कहाँ से? यह श्लोक सिखाता है कि विद्या और समृद्धि दोनों ही समय के प्रत्येक छोटे अंश और प्रत्येक छोटी प्राप्ति को महत्त्व देकर ही बनती हैं।
