Tulsi, the holy basil, is revered as the goddess Vrinda — a devotee so pure that she became most beloved of Lord Vishnu, who keeps her leaves upon his head and accepts no offering without them. Worshipped daily at the home shrine, especially in the month of Kartik and at Tulsi Vivah, her aarti is sung at dusk with a lamp before the Tulsi plant.
✦ શાસ્ત્રોમાં કહ્યા પ્રમાણે
No worship of Vishnu or Krishna is complete without a leaf of Tulsi, and a home with a worshipped Tulsi is said to be guarded from disease and misfortune. Devotees light a lamp at her feet each dusk, especially through holy Kartik, and sing this aarti for health and grace.

મૈયા જય તુલસી માતા । સબ જગ કી સુખદાતા સબકી વરમાતા ॥
Maiya jaya tulasi mata Saba jaga ki sukhadata sabaki varamata
અર્થ:Mother, victory to you, Mother Tulsi; giver of joy to all the world, the boon-granting mother of all.
સબ યોગોં સે ઊપર સબ રોગોં સે ઊપર । રજ સે રક્ષ કરકે સબકી ભવ ત્રાતા ॥
Saba yogom se upara saba rogom se upara Raja se raksha karake sabaki bhava trata
અર્થ:Above all yogas and above all diseases; guarding all from the dust (of sin), you are the saviour of all from worldly existence.
બટુ પુત્રી હૈ શ્યામા સુર બલ્લી હૈ ગ્રામ્યા । વિષ્ણુપ્રિય જો નર તુમકો સેવે સો નર તર જાતા ॥
Batu putri hai shyama sura balli hai gramya Vishnupriya jo nara tumako seve so nara tara jata
અર્થ:You are dark-hued Shyama and the village-creeper; whoever, dear to Vishnu, serves you — that person is carried across.
હરિ કે શીશ વિરાજત ત્રિભુવન સે હો વન્દિત । પતિત જનોં કી તારિણી તુમ હો વિખ્યાતા ॥
Hari ke shisha virajata tribhuvana se ho vandita Patita janom ki tarini tuma ho vikhyata
અર્થ:You rest upon the head of Hari (Vishnu) and are adored by the three worlds; renowned as the deliverer of fallen souls.
લેકર જન્મ વિજન મેં આઈ દિવ્ય ભવન મેં । માનવ લોક તુમ્હીં સે સમ્પતિ પાતા ॥
Lekara janma vijana mem ai divya bhavana mem Manava loka tumhim se sampati pata
અર્થ:Taking birth in the wilderness, you came into the divine abode; through you alone the world of men gains prosperity.
હરિ કો તુમ અતિ પ્યારી શ્યામવર્ણ સુકુમારી । પ્રેમ અજબ હૈ ઉનકા તુમસે કૈસા નાતા ॥
Hari ko tuma ati pyari shyamavarna sukumari Prema ajaba hai unaka tumase kaisa nata
અર્થ:You are most dear to Hari, the dark-hued, tender one; wondrous is his love — what a bond is yours with him!
હમારી વિપદ હરો તુમ કૃપા કરો માતા ॥
Hamari vipada haro tuma kripa karo mata
અર્થ:Remove our misfortune; show us your grace, O Mother.
श्री तुलसी आरती પાઠના લાભ
Sung in praise of the sacred Tulsi (holy basil), revered as the goddess Vrinda and the most beloved of Lord Vishnu.
Chanted for health, purity, prosperity and the removal of sin — Tulsi is worshipped daily before the home shrine and the Tulsi plant.
Especially auspicious in the month of Kartik, on Tulsi Vivah and Ekadashi; her leaves are essential to Vishnu and Krishna worship.
श्री तुलसी आरती જપ વિધિ
Light a lamp (ghee or camphor) and, holding it, perform the aarti by circling it before the deity while singing, ideally with a bell. Offer flowers and prasad, and conclude by taking the aarti blessing (passing the hands over the flame and to the eyes). Sing with devotion and a steady heart.
