✦ अर्थ
अति विस्मयकारी विश्वरूप को देखकर अर्जुन श्रीकृष्ण की भावविभोर स्तुति करने लगते हैं। इस श्लोक में वे भगवान को आदिदेव, सनातन पुरुष, तथा समस्त सृष्टि के परम आश्रय एवं निधान के रूप में वन्दित करते हैं। श्रीकृष्ण ज्ञाता भी हैं और ज्ञेय भी, परम धाम हैं, और सम्पूर्ण विश्व में व्याप्त हैं -- यह परमात्मा के सर्वव्यापक स्वरूप का सुन्दर सार है।

In the eleventh chapter, Vishvarupa Darshana Yoga, after Krishna grants the divine eye and reveals His universal form, Arjuna is filled with awe and devotion. In a series of verses he glorifies the Lord; here he proclaims Krishna to be the primal God, the supreme refuge, the knower and the known, and the all-pervading Being of infinite forms.

Devotees hold that to glorify the Lord with these words — recognising Him as the origin, refuge and final abode of all — draws the soul ever closer to Him, for the Gita promises that those who praise and remember Him with devotion are never lost.

अर्थ:आप आदिदेव और सनातन पुरुष हैं; आप इस सम्पूर्ण विश्व के परम आश्रय हैं। आप ही ज्ञाता और ज्ञेय (जानने योग्य) हैं तथा परम धाम हैं। हे अनन्तरूप! आपसे ही यह सारा विश्व व्याप्त है।

As you recite each phrase — primal God, most ancient Person, supreme refuge, knower and known, supreme abode — pause to let the meaning awaken devotion. It can be offered while gazing at an image of Krishna or in silent meditation on the all-pervading Divine, allowing the heart to rest in the Lord as its final abode.
