ग्यारहवें अध्याय का यह प्रसिद्ध श्लोक भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के विश्वरूप — अर्जुन को दिखाये गये विराट् रूप — के अपार तेज का वर्णन करता है। संजय कहते हैं कि उसका प्रज्वलित प्रकाश आकाश में एक साथ उदित हुए सहस्र सूर्यों के समान होगा। यह दृश्य परमात्मा की असीम महिमा और तेज को प्रकट करता है, विस्मय और समर्पण जगाता है, और भक्त को स्मरण कराता है कि भगवान का यथार्थ रूप समस्त माप से परे अनन्त तेज है।

In the eleventh chapter, the Yoga of the Vision of the Universal Form (Vishwarupa Darshana Yoga), Arjuna asks to behold Krishna's cosmic form. Granted divine sight, he sees the whole universe within the Lord. This verse describes the unimaginable radiance of that vision — a brilliance like a thousand suns blazing forth together in the heavens.
