The Dakshinamurti Ashtakam is traditionally ascribed to Vrishabhadeva. Eight verses to Dakshinamurti — Shiva as the supreme silent Guru, the youthful teacher who imparts the highest knowledge of the Self through silence to the aged sages at His feet.
