✦ अर्थ
यह श्लोक कर्म और भक्ति का सुन्दर समन्वय करता है। श्रीकृष्ण सिखाते हैं कि मनुष्य समस्त सांसारिक कर्मों में पूर्णतया संलग्न रहते हुए भी, यदि उनका पूर्ण आश्रय ले, तो उनकी कृपा से शाश्वत एवं अविनाशी पद को प्राप्त कर लेता है। यह भक्त को आश्वस्त करता है कि मुक्ति के लिए कर्म का त्याग आवश्यक नहीं, अपितु भगवान में स्थित रहकर कर्म करना ही पर्याप्त है -- यह शरणागति-सहित कर्मयोग का आधार है।

In the eighteenth chapter, Moksha Sannyasa Yoga, as Krishna concludes His teaching on action and devotion, He assures Arjuna that one need not abandon activity to attain the highest goal. Performing all actions while taking refuge in the Lord, the devotee reaches the eternal, imperishable abode by His grace.
