Tulsidas composed this stuti as part of the Ramcharitmanas, his magnum opus retelling of the Ramayana in Awadhi. This particular passage describes Ram's divine form with such exquisite beauty that it has been extracted and sung independently for centuries. It is said that Tulsidas had a direct vision (darshan) of Lord Ram, and this stuti captures the beauty he witnessed.
✦ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ
Tulsidas records in the Ramcharitmanas that Lord Ram appeared to him personally. According to the Bhaktamala and other sources, Tulsidas met Hanuman at the Sankat Mochan temple in Varanasi, and Hanuman helped arrange his meeting with Lord Ram. When Tulsidas finally saw Ram's divine form, he fainted in ecstasy. This stuti is considered a direct description of that divine vision — not imagination, but eyewitness testimony of God's beauty.

ಅರ್ಥ:हे मन! कृपालु श्रीरामचन्द्र का भजन कर, जो संसार के दारुण भय को हरते हैं; नवकमल-से नेत्र, मुख, कर और चरण वाले हैं।
ಕನ್ದರ್ಪ ಅಗಣಿತ ಅಮಿತ ಛವಿ ನವನೀಲ ನೀರಜ ಸುನ್ದರಮ್। ಪಟಪೀತ ಮಾನಹುಂ ತಡ़ಿತ ರುಚಿ ಶುಚಿ ನೌಮಿ ಜನಕ ಸುತಾವರಮ್॥

ಭಜು ದೀನಬನ್ಧು ದಿನೇಶ ದಾನವ ದೈತ್ಯವಂಶ ನಿಕನ್ದನಮ್। ರಘುನನ್ದ ಆನನ್ದಕನ್ದ ಕೋಸಲ ಚನ್ದ ದಶರಥ ನನ್ದನಮ್॥
