અર્થ:हे भगवद्गीते! जिसके द्वारा स्वयं भगवान नारायण (कृष्ण) ने अर्जुन को ज्ञान दिया, जिसे व्यास ने महाभारत के मध्य में पिरोया, जो अद्वैत-अमृत बरसाने वाली, अठारह अध्यायों वाली है — हे माता, संसार-बंधन का नाश करने वाली, मैं तुम्हारा ध्यान करता हूँ।
નમોઽસ્તુ તે વ્યાસ વિશાલબુદ્ધે ફુલ્લારવિન્દાયતપત્રનેત્ર। યેન ત્વયા ભારતતૈલપૂર્ણઃ પ્રજ્વાલિતો જ્ઞાનમયઃ પ્રદીપઃ॥

અર્થ:हे विशाल बुद्धि वाले, कमल-से नेत्रों वाले व्यास! आपको नमस्कार, जिन्होंने महाभारत-रूपी तेल से भरा ज्ञान का दीपक प्रज्वलित किया।
પ્રપન્નપારિજાતાય તોત્રવેત્રૈકપાણયે। જ્ઞાનમુદ્રાય કૃષ્ણાય ગીતામૃતદુહે નમઃ॥
Prapanna-Parijataya Totra-Vetraika-Panaye Jnana-Mudraya Krishnaya Gitamrita-Duhe Namah
અર્થ:समस्त उपनिषद् गौएँ हैं, कृष्ण ग्वाला उन्हें दुहते हैं, अर्जुन बछड़ा है, और बुद्धिमान जन गीता-रूपी महान अमृत-दुग्ध का पान करते हैं।
સર્વોપનિષદો ગાવો દોગ્ધા ગોપાલનન્દનઃ। પાર્થો વત્સઃ સુધીર્ભોક્તા દુગ્ધં ગીતામૃતં મહત્॥

અર્થ:वसुदेव के पुत्र, कंस और चाणूर का मर्दन करने वाले, देवकी के परमानन्द, जगद्गुरु कृष्ण को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।
વસુદેવસુતં દેવં કંસચાણૂરમર્દનમ્। દેવકીપરમાનન્દં કૃષ્ણં વન્દે જગદ્ગુરુમ્॥
Vasudeva-Sutam Devam Kamsa-Chanura-Mardanam Devaki-Paramanandam Krishnam Vande Jagad-Gurum
અર્થ:जिनकी कृपा गूँगे को वाचाल और लँगड़े को पर्वत लाँघने वाला बना देती है — उन परमानन्द माधव को मैं वन्दन करता हूँ।
ભીષ્મદ્રોણતટા જયદ્રથજલા ગાન્ધારનીલોત્પલા શલ્યગ્રાહવતી કૃપેણ વહની કર્ણેન વેલાકુલા। અશ્વત્થામવિકર્ણઘોરમકરા દુર્યોધનાવર્તિની સોત્તીર્ણા ખલુ પાણ્ડવૈ રણનદી કૈવર્તકઃ કેશવઃ॥
